Is this end grain hollowing? I'm having a hard time with the tool catching and putting a lot of pressure on the one way chuck.

Love it. Need a tool and can't buy it? Make it yourself. My father used to make his own tools when it was either too expensive or wasn't available in our area.

Interesting tool. Is it captured at the back or are you trying to hold on tight when reaching so far in.

I have the Keith Clark deep hollowing system and it gives you the benifit of free hand or the option of a captured bar. Do you fill the bar with buck shot?

I have taken this tool to 12-14 inches but expect it to go 24".

The nice thing about this design is that you can take the bit adapter and put it on a larger diameter pipe with a adapter, to get more length.

Of course if you are boring thorough a small hole it restricts the bar diameter.
