This is an amazing engineering feat, when you consider the fact it was constructed in 1928. I saw the Golden Gate Bridge and found out that it was constructed in 1931, that too is an amazing piece of engineering.

Apparently people actually said this as the arch was being constructed. They didn't realise the road would be going straight across.
