emo is really a genre of bands that is still going on today.. however it is not Aiden. Nor is it really fashion... at least not the fashion most people think. Look up Skramz bands.. or Midwest Emo.. bands like Dads, Midwest Pen Pals, Merchant Ships, Cap'n Jazz, American Football.. there's TONS of emo bands out there.. thank god not tons of people actually listen to them. because when mass groups of people start listening.. the music usually dies :L

im so happy emo is dead in my town its pretty much extinct i consider myself goth so it was a big problem for me cause when emo was popular i was autmatically emo i guess? but now when little kids see me ive noticed they donnt go hey look mommy an emo or ask me if im emo. they now say look daddy hes goth or hey are you goth?and that makes me happy... emo is a fashion statement in my opinion goth is a lifestyle

Emo is a bullshit MTV-based subculture. I get called it, and I react pretty much the same way WiL does. "I'll punch your fucking teeth in!". "Emo", "Scene", "Darkcore", "Hipster"................they are all subterms for "fabricated culture by MTV". I understand some kids call themselves this. Hell, I even used to view it this way (When i was fucking 13). Then I grew up. I still dress this way. I act nothing like I used to. I realized, I just like this darker style and music. Doesnt mean i'm emo.
