  • That is AWESOME!! And funny. I want one!!!

  • how long do they usually live for?

  • @unrealhit88 I read that they only live 6 to 18 months in the wild.

  • @elai001 It depends on what kind hes talking about, and your right most last around 1-2 years, but others can last longer some up to five years. The other factor is how well kept it is, water quality, how often you clean the tank/filter, and depending on the stress of your octopus as well.

  • Aww....I want an octopus.

  • That is amazing. The octopus is actually choosing shells over another. It actually has a preference!

  • awww...cute beast he was building a stone wall

  • I agree with him though- that rock just looked horribly tacky there.

  • lol neat octopus lol

  • you have an octopus ... cool

  • lol uncontrollably cute but you should take out some shells. Isn't his tank a little small?

  • @darkfish901 his tank is definitely too small

  • he is just darling :)

  • Reminds me of clearing the empty beer cans out of my dorm after a party in college. Precious little creature, thanks for sharing!

  • Someone has a gay octopus on their hands!

Octopus- I want to be the most extra special interior decorator in this whole state! Oh my stars a crab! I better hide!"

  • @xmazz31x LMAO I totally read that in the perfect voice XD holy crap i can't stop laughing!!!!! XDDD

  • @foyyoyishyish7 haha I laughed just thinking about it

  • I love your videos! Its one of my life goals to have an octopus as a pet now!

  • This was your octopus's way of asking you to put a feng shui book infront of its tank before you go to sleep at night :)

  • @Quickwestion He can probably teach us a thing or two about feng shui, especially the water element.

  • @elai001 They're really intelligent creatures. Hey! Try getting some numbers and symbols and see if he can figure out math!

  • @ elai001 where do u a octopus from

  • ok sorry i know this sounds really ignorant xD but... can someone tell me if it is possible to have the octopus out of the tank from time to time? would it move on the ground? can u hold it and it won't harm you?????

    thx!

  • @nievedeuva LOL thats like asking, "Hey, is it possible for people to go flying for a short amount of time" lol just saying

  • It's so cute!

  • Octopuses are known to use rocks to block the entrance to their den.

  • ill go get bendr to help him move the couch upstairs lmaoXD

  • I guess he's been reading one of Martha Stewart's redecorating books

  • @joesmoe71 Maybe it's the Ocean Natural Motif.

  • what size tank

  • @elai001 elai001 where do u a octopus from

  • @killasheen15 My son and I collected him snorkelling at a beach in Southern California.

  • @elai001 Thanks for info : )

  • I'd like to see an octopus chase a scallop.

  • @Tunnelfish The closest thing to a scallop that he has captured and eaten was a clam. It was amazing to watch.

  • Awsome pet I hav 2 baby musk turtles :) his he dead now heard they dont live very long?

  • @thebroadster He passed away some time back. They live 6 to 18 months in the wild. These videos of him is just my way of sharing the fun experiences we had raising him.

  • my buddy had one but it got out of it's tank and went into the other tank across the room and ate the fish during the night. They woke up to him in the fish tank

  • they can actually survive out of water for about half an hour easily! so he could escape and run off down the street if you're not careful!

  • ha lol isee one do this in wild in greece i picked a big red shell up and wow thats a big one and i showed my mom and i went bak to get another and its reached out and grabbed the shell again lol i shited myself and told mum agian she came and sterted holding it and then some kids started poking it with fishing nets tight bastards and then my dad came and shouted the fuck at em they started crying lol and i gave it its big red shell back the end

  • haha XD

    hes prolly thinking...

"eh... this shells too big for my house..

    eh this ones to small....

eh , nice... ill take this one, perfect shape..

    :)

  • how long can he live out of water?

  • I have seen them in tide pools going in and out of water over rock. Since their skin is pretty sensitive and has to stay wet, I would say they don't want to be out of water for more than 20 or 30 seconds.

  • Hah, smart animal.

  • Heh... who says an octopus can't have a sense of style?

Now, that said, this guy is a Bimac? Isn't that dangerous?

  • Bimacs are not poisonous. They can be dangerous because they have a strong hard beak like a parrot at his mouth and can make a hole in a mussel shell. When he grabs on to me, I usually just present a flat part of my hand or fist so that he cannot peck at me. Never my finger!!

  • I see. Thank you, my friend. :)

  • What kindof octopus is he?

  • He is a Bimac (Californian Two-spot Octopus) and the 4 or 5th one we had raised.
