My little girl watches 'educations programes' and watches night garden and no's all her colours, can talk loads and count too 6 and she is 19 months old...and as for being out of nappies what on earth as watching the night garden got to do with that!! it may not teach language skills but its only on for half an hour let ur child have a bit of fun for god sake!!

@nolan067 Actually, the good, consistent narration makes it rather like a moving story book. Also, he's only allowed short periods of television viewing per day. And, at only 4 just years, he can count to 30, do basic pre-math and write his name, as well as having a very good vocabulary amongst his age group. I know this because I'm a preschool teacher, and he is in my class, which numbers 23, so it's a fairly good research pool, IMHO.

Frankly, I'm just glad he's not watching Ben10.
