  • WOW about fucking time, maybe if you made all the parts here in the U.S. to help out in the job market, it would of been in the air way sooner. that's what you get when the parts are made all over the world and then put together, they don't fit. i don't feel sorry for Boeing and how long it took, they are not helping the U.S. in making jobs for people so, hello airbus. Boeing, suck my fat balls you assholes. hope the dream liner falls on its face and they are just peaces of shit planes.

  • That is one sexy plane :o

  • I like it, it is revolutionary, greener, saves money for the client, neat interior, and new cockpit, super cool

  • @bhartha2007

Airbus was created and started 20 years ago with this!

Now America is showing off, to bee green?

Americans consume twice or more energy, per head capita, than any other in the world.

  • @mjcuracao

No, this is not to be green. It is to make money selling Airplanes that are more efficient to operate.

  • Hey, I did it in a Boeing Dreamliner. Guess what "it" is!

  • @HolySpaghettiMonster

    Your little spagetti monster, hhhaaaaahhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaa!!!!

  • What's trailing from it's tail?

  • @andychud

    It measures static air pressure.

  • how did it almost crash and it may be late but it is better than the a380. It is more economical and it is more luxurious.

  • There are 2 dreamliners now. The 747-800 has the same interior as the 787

  • fuck the little plane almost crashed!!!!!!

  • tu tas loco mijo???? separación horizontal, mijo!!! ¿no sabes lo que es eso?

  • Nice plane !

  • @DonElgazo Thank You I agree

  • i think Singapore Airlines is also leasing a330-300 until the 787-8 will be delivered

  • this plane has the sickest interior ever..so futuristic..cant wait to fly 1 of those

  • fly IN 1 of those

  • perhaps he`s going to be the pilot

  • Damn the advertisement.

  • Seems like the airlines do ...uh ah-hem "re-structure" every other year...

at any rate, I'm excited to see what this plane can do!

  • they should have cancelled this plane.. but I guess they figured the government would buy it or one of their over priced military planes to bail em out..the airlines are lucky they haven't gone bankrupt yet how can they afford new planes ?

  • This plane is going to be a huge commercial success for Boeing. Over 800 planes have been ordered so far.

  • the order has been delayed so either some of the airlines have canceled or just kept their order and leased some of the other planes, I know that Qantas is leassing the Airbus A330 untill the 787 is ready for passenger service.

  • So what is special about this particular airplane?

  • divad, much better fuel economy! Very nice inside!

  • WTF IS THEIR ANOTHER PLANE THERE??

  • @thuggin137 Military protection

  • The flights accompaning the 787 are there to check for external abnormalities.

  • protection, escort, guide, and they have Camras on them so they can take picture of that plane in the air.

  • Those classic T-birds were actually louder than the passenger jet they were escorting. Impressive!

  • i think its to measure the presures or the forces on the tail

  • STOP STOP STOP !!!!

THERES SOMETHING HANGING ON THE TAIL STOP STOP NO NO !!

oh well.....it took off anyways :)

  • I am sick of these damn ads on youtube before you know it all videos will have stupid ads.

  • @TubeYouUser123ABC you can turnthem off

  • @TubeYouUser123ABC

Use AdBlocker if you use Firefox it blocks the ads in the video too.

  • i know nothing about planes.Whats tied to the tail end?

  • pricetag. lol

  • WILLLUVSTHE411 HERE ON YOUTUBE!!!

  • those engines are biger than my whole car

  • they forgot to take off price tag by the tail hahaha

  • Ha ha, that's so funny! I was wondering what that was hanging off the tail, and now I know: it's the Price Tag!!!!!!

  • thats a HUGE price tag!! xD

  • well like they say, going green= going broke.

  • @sideslide23 true true

  • @773x744cap hahahah haaaaaaaaaa lool

  • that was so close

  • Those RR Trents sound very good. (not to confuse the noise of the jet trainers at the end of the clip).

  • Very cool.

  • sounds less noisy too...

  • @cdmcl3 so you're smarter than Boeing who invested $10bn in it?

  • Well the companies who ordered 840 of the planes seem to all think you don't know what the fuck you are talking about.

On a side note im interested to see if the higher humidity and lower altitude pressurization make the flight more comfortable like they say. And seeing how carbon fiber behaves when used in such a way. Hate it or love it this airplane will either be the way all planes are built or the way all planes are not built, civilian and military.

  • @DonLoki about all i can say to you now is that we are, it seems, communicating with different pp, etc..............

  • @DonLoki i'm interested not only in the machines's aesthetics, and its appeal to ppl on that basis, but also in the way it was put together--i think the outcome will be better planes sooner rather than later...and better economics, etc.....

  • i was expecting apallo 13

  • Sweet! I'm at the fenceline, next to the big building at 0:54.

  • i saw it flying when i was walking home from school and for some reason i was just sure it was this plane, you really can tell the difference even when its in the air

  • The A380 fanatics are gonna same some shit, but they know shit. The A380 is great if you can afford the suites, but otherwise you are flying in the cheap seats with a few hundred other broke ass passengers and then have to disembark and fight your way to check out and wait in HUGE lines. I always fly the small CRJ´s when given a chance. VERY small and personable yet fast service. Its like a lear jet.

  • @alSation81 You don't have to complain if you don't like it...People celebrate because it's a big project they've been working on for years. It takes a lot of work and time to create a plane.

You asked why don't people cheer when a new car model come out... well there are a lot of car makers out there in comparing to only few for airplanes (mainly Boeing and Airbus).

You don't new hundreds of new airplane variants or models coming out every year, do you?

  • I'm glad that main wings are made by high-tech carbon composit of a Japanese company.

  • The vertical stabiliser looks noticeably narrow.

  • Now that you mention it you're right! Huh...odd

  • nicer than what i thought before...

  • If Santos Dumont was alive he is very very happy in this wonderfull moment that boeing takes off to the sky with this technology miracle!

  • This one is to basicly replace the 767-300ER

  • Can't wait to talk to these aircraft on freq! .........Let the Airbus comments fly!

  • The 777 is still a young aircraft by aircraft standards. It's not going anywhere.

  • Always someone getting in your shot.... good video otherwise.

  • Tears in my eyes watching this take off.

  • @JamesWHYT your not the only one.....lol....damn love of aviation!... =P

  • What's the black object trailing behind the top edge of the vertical stabilizer?

  • ufo

  • I think it ight have something to do with measuring the vortices coming off the stabilizer...Not sure though, just a shot in the dark

  • It's odd that they use Rolls-Royce engines on the first flight of an American airliner!

  • Why, the 777 has GE engines, rolls makes good turbines.

  • Nuttin' new. It's still just a tapered cylinder with wings stuck on, hurtling through the air. I guess the industry just can't get past their dislike of Vincent Burnelli and his ideas.

  • So are they planning on having the Dreamliner replace the B777 similarily like the B717 is meant to soon replace the DC9?

  • No, the 777 will continue as a separate line

  • I thought it was the 767 which would be replaced, not the 777....To me it looks like a Hybrid 767

  • Better Than The Other Vids All I Can Say!

  • awesome vid

  • Awesome video! Thank you

  • It certainly pollutes less.....it takes many extra years than planned to get the thing to fly, it certainly pollutes less!

  • THAT PLANE IS NICE

  • Amazing! a truely historic moment

  • yawn .. booring .. actually wait .. is this plan more fuel efficient and does it pollutes less?

  • indeed it does

  • um yes it pollutes less

  • cool thanks for the info

  • Clearly the thing taking even more fuel would make everyone want to buy it more.

  • "gasp" Im learning sarcasm .. GREAT job for pointing out the obvious.

  • You're welcome.
