  • It's quite amazing to 'discover' an artist years after you knew they existed. I personally listened to Queen's music, but only now have been entirely swamped with awe and respect for Freddie Mercury's energy andd vocal capability. I suppose it was a bit like having a nice snack in the fridge... I still have the Beatle's to 'discover' at nearly 40.

  • Greatest front man ever to step on a stage! Long live Freddie!

  • thumbs up if you were disappointed that he didn't smash the guitar.

  • bono as in U2 were gr8 at this to i was there so god knows why you would say he made 198 accounts

  • erm i will make you doing things

  • I think it's good... No, no. Everybody knows that it is the best perfomance that they have ever seen!!! Also Biber is crying into his pillow)

  • Bono actually created 199 fake accounts. 198 to hate and 1 to love this, because there isn't a human being alive who couldn't admire Freddie Mercury that day.

  • Aqui se devela el animal preferido de Freddie: el TERO

  • Poor David Bowie

  • the palm of his hand, baby! haha freddie you animal!!

  • no olvidar!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WOW Freddy!

  • his voice sound like on studio records. and now listen to the most of our modern "auto-tune stars" ))

  • Dammit i was going to get something to eat and then i stumbled upon this video......hunger cud wait a while longer

  • Freddie's reaction of "All right!" - that's the key to a great performance: FUN. He's having fun because the audience is having fun and vice-versa.

  • @blueshirt12 Our Very talented Freddy Knew how to perform and keep the audience Happy! True showmanship.

  • Gênio

  • @CRPJ100 Hehe, female here...our Freddie is Hot accross the lines :D He is Pure pleasure! :)

  • seriously who the hell could dislike this? this is unbelievable stuff.

  • damn at that time he already knew he was positive... o.O amazing how much power he had

  • @Streuselsturm jim said freddie only found out in 87

  • No in ear headphones, no modern auto tunning.. played on the same stage as countless other bands and they sound absolutley brilliant! There is a lesson in there...

  • I'm really In love with this man... Anyone else?

  • @Alexander87oclock Im not gay but ahm.... I LOVE THIS MAN :D

  • This man is the true definition of the word "legend" and the concept of being a front man. Thank you so much for uploading this. I remember watching it on TV when i was 9 and a half years old ....... so long ago. Love Queen.xx

  • we could never achieve that even with all the best bands today. He owned that crowd.

  • real music prostitute

  • queen saved live aid, geldoff was just there

  • dude this is so epic...how could you NOT like this?

  • Oh why did i born in 1993 FUCK i just wanted to grow up with awesome music

now all good musicians are dead(few remains) and world worships some overrated crap

  • @Stelios7xXx well, at least you understand what it is all about so you can always find the great music. Maybe something great can still come, listen to Adele AND Alma Cogan. Both great. Of course, Freddie is the greatest ever anyway. I especially love the first Queen album which knocked me out completely when I was about 15. It opened up a whole musical universe. I asked once my bro what made Queen so special. He said without hesitating, "it's the harmonies".He was right for sure.

  • @Stelios7xXx I was too born in 1993, good to know that someone has the taste of music as me!!

  • BOSS

  • One of the great showmen. The only one close is Springsteen.

  • I would love to be there live! Such a shame I wasn't even born.. FREDDY MERCURY THE BIGGEST LEGEND! :D

  • just how in the hell would the band wind down after a gig like that?lock themselves in a room and listen to Gregorian chant for an hour or something?

  • 72000 people are very lucky, they saw amazing voice and amazing performent. Future like this show must wait 1000 year

  • @shanlay999 350,000

  • Ah, Freddie. How wonderful you were...

  • Adorável. Best singer as ever!

  • Fuck Aids

  • en plus d'être un superbe chanteur il y a le groupe en entier Freddie tu me manquera tout le temps

  • La mejor voz de todos los tiempos que cantante ha logrado que lo coreen tanto como a Mercury?

  • he's pretty good on drums that boy.

  • Bono created 198 fake accounts.

  • @DinheironoTeclado because this makes him a No. 2 ahahahaha (south park reference)

  • @DinheironoTeclado

200 actually but he could not resist to like it twice

  • @DinheironoTeclado Elton john made them actually ^. ^

  • Every auto-tuned singer out there today should hang their head in shame upon seeing this performance. Mercury's talent was beyond belief.

  • I've not met a single person who said they didn't like this performance. Come to think of it, how could they not like it?

  • I wish I were the cameraman...

  • at 5:52 , why is there an austrian flag? xD

  • @lordpa92 they could be from austria. the gig was in london but people would've travelled a long way to be a part of this.

  • beat that...

  • i wish everyone who ever lived and is going to live would have seen this

  • Freddie made it possible..

He made the air-guitar thing look cool!

  • I want to thank Bob Geldof for making possible this greatest concert and charity event of all time. That in turn made possible this greatest performance ever by Queen. I'll never forget the feeling of that day. So Thank's Bob, for making the world just a little bit brighter that day.

  • wish i could work a crowd like that....

  • I only wanted to hear the first part but now here I am at part 2... see you at part 5.

  • frumos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Freddie OWNED Wembley this day...simply brilliant!

  • what kind of sick fucks are these 196?...

  • Mozart at a piano, George Best with a ball at his feet, Freddie Mercury on stage....some things are unequalled and irreplaceable.

  • @tigerarmyrule

Apart from being on stage, Freddie also played piano and soccer wonderfully... You know? ;-)

  • @natachag77 Ahaha he wasnt the best in the world, ever, at THOSE thought :D

  • Woah, Freddie - what a front man!

  • What happened to the dislike bar? 196 fools!

  • One of the few, or maybe even the only one, who can actually sing live.

  • I stood about ten feet away from Freddie when he was on stage here. Its hard to put into words how I feel now about that day never mind then. I wept when he died. I mean really wept. didn't go to work for a couple of days either. I have really been to another gig since there was no real point. But to stand in front of Freddie was one of the best days of my life..I am straight guy but to be honest I think he was more of a man than most guys I know including me.

    Chris

  • freddie mercury characterised as one of rock's greatest all time entertainers and possessed one of the greatest voices in all of music.

  • my parents bought a video recorder just so they could record this. it cost $1500 and the tapes were $20 each. Dad taped only parts of it because they couldn't afford more than about 3 videos, but he caught Queen, so I grew up watching this (I was born a couple months before!)

  • A faultless from Mr May. Superb guitaring

  • Eat your hearts out Xfactor. This is what you call a real performer.

  • its 05:55 and am blotto queen is classs

  • Beautiful man

  • @whereangelsplay1 Absolutely beautiful.

  • my mum was at that concert.

  • @thatjacobkiddy you've got a cool mum :)

  • @agawu92 I love my mum <3

  • @thatjacobkiddy now im jealous

  • @thatjacobkiddy My mum almost just cried when telling me that she couldn't go to the concert because she was in hospital with a broken foot. Apparently she said she would hop barefoot if required but the doctors wouldn't agree to it lol!

  • @NickyLess The sad thing I too could cry now having missed out on seeing MJ whom I grew up with - I had every intention of going no matter the cost. The sad reality is when people pass you trully realise how great they were - these guys were slightly beyond my generation but I too could cry about Freddie and the fact I missed out on him too - what a voice what a entertainer great songs - Hopefully will be seing the boss in concert this summer. Next stop Prince and Phil Collins ...Regards

  • @NickyLess That's horrible! She should have gone anyway.

  • @thatjacobkiddy .. maybe you were too.

  • I wonder how many of the young people out there would know of Queens and Freddie Mercurys excistence if the internet was not here.

  • まさに、千両役者

  • 195 ppl could not go to that concert

  • part 3 my friends : /watch?v=IGUdjHUVd18&feature=related

  • Roger needs some props though :) Merry Christmas Queen !

  • Now that is a damn concert.

  • 195 ppl are brain dead

  • no one can replace freddy

  • He is a fantastic singer with a fantastic voice and performance he is just a fabulous rocker ! ! !

  • The best entertainer of all time!

  • where is part 3 ?

  • All Right !

  • Adolf

  • Freddie was the best front man ever. I remember where I was when I heard of his passing. Truly it was a great loss to the music world when he died. Besides Mick Jagger I cannot recall a better performer!

  • Trying to compare Freddie to anyone is futile. and bieber (I won;t even give him a capital) is a joke. Get real anyone who suggests it. Over 20 years since Freddie died, doubt very much Mr. b will be remembered in 20 months, never mind 20 years.

  • Man, i wish freddy was still alive.. he was so awesome, i mean, can u get more gay than that ? Rob halford is gay, but he acts like a straight man, Freddy is so freaking queer i love it (im straight btw) we should have more like him in the wolrd of rock n roll, he's deeply missed</3
