I love the guys and Amy, she has a really wonderful voice, but she needs to work on her voice in live performances. if she learned more about the technique, she could exploit her range a lot more. sometimes she's out of tune or sings in a lower tone than the original songs. she has a very powerful voice, in my opinion more than Simone Simmons, who sings very well and can sing in lyrical technique, but her voice is still "too soft" for me... Amy's still the most awesome inspiration for me!

I love the smile she gives toward the end of Lost in Paradise :) Also the orchestra was amazing with them, it added so much, I would say it almost sounded better than the album

@portraitofjimmy I find that if you were asked to sing in a big concert such as the Nobel Peace Concert, then you're bound to be nervous, especially if they've been touring like crazy. You can tell she was very nervous, especially since this song is the most emotional one she has written for this album. Her singing technique & style is different to that of other singers, not to mention that she is the only one who played piano and sang =P read around before you attack ;)
I think she was nervous about playing at such a prestigious event as the Nobel Peace Prize concert. If you're very nervous that can affect the voice. She was a little shaky in the beginning (definitely nerves), but I thought she was great throughout the rest of it. Nobody is perfect and I'd rather hear her sing live and mess it up a little than hear the lip-synching of the pop tartlets. She doesn't have to be perfect all the time.
aw, her voice is all tired from the tour... but they still rocked it ! what an honor for evanescence. Wish I'd been there to watch em play with a full orchestra, so beautiful !
@snowwhitequeen81 - Don't forget that Evanescence has recently come off of quite a long tour - and they're actually going to be doing a few more gigs/concerts and that she has been using her vocal chords quite extensively over the past month and a half to two months. It is completely understandable that her voice is a little messed up. I heard her playing this song in Leeds last month. She was perfect in it.

This is something that many artists lack today...and she never fails to give me gosebumps. She is unique
