  • I started this song when I was playing Rune.

  • Heh. Someone else mentioned Eraserhead earlier in these comments. I guess those who loved Valhalla Rising are pretty much on the same level : )

  • I was introduced to this movie by those who hated it. They obviously expected it to be like something else, but I absolutely loved it and it has become my personal favourite movie ever since. Those who hate it just don't 'get' it. The film is pretty much like Aguirre wrath of God meets Eraserhead. Very meditative, creepy and goddamn beautifully made. The music is sublime too.

  • I listen to this song on repeat when I'm playing Diablo 2 on Hell with my Druid.

    And I rape shit.

  • ONE EYE !!!!!!!! my favorite character

  • very interesting movie

  • Don't need hollywood stunt budgets, don't need hollywood trained actors, don't need hollywood subliminal programming making the movie seem "hip", you just need Nicolas Winding Refn ;)

  • @icemanNO1 Cool man

  • @icemanNO1 Do you belive simply in the Norse gods, or are you a Wiccan worshipping them among others?

  • am i the only person who gets tempted to pull their own eye out so i can look like one eye?

  • Fantastic, deep, brutal movie.

  • This movie was a work of art

  • I only watched Drive, because I saw Valhalla Rising, brilliant films both of them, bring on more Nicolas Winding Refn!

  • I have had the pleasure of watching all the movies directed by Nicolas Winding Refn and I have to say that "Valhalla Rising" is one of his most thought-provoking, albeit misunderstood films. Hopefully, with the success of "Drive" more people will go out and rent all of Refn's films. As for the soundtrack, I would also like to own it but I'll settle for buying the movie instead.

  • Where did you find this? The soundtrack was never released?

  • A masterpiece. Mads Mikkelsen and Nicolas Winiding Refn are legends for me.

  • The movie of the year, for me.. Watching it was like getting deep into unanswered questions, it was also like watching hypnotive paintings. I clearly remembered dreaming about David Lynch's "Eraserhead" the night I saw "Valhalla Rising".. We all too often use the word "amazing", but this really was...

  • I'm excited to see what these two guys do with the sound for the upcoming Hitman game. This shit is awesome!

  • I like the darkness of this movie...

  • This movie changed my life. For better or worse, i don't know. I think differently now. It is not about vikings or indians, it is about you.

  • @suntzu100 dude I feel the same way, I can't quite explain it....I think more like a leader

  • @suntzu100

It's absolutely true. I don't get why people just assume this is nothing more than a 'film about vikings' when clearly, Refn created this with the idea of making fun of such movies. People really need to look beyond trailers and high budget action films

  • @suntzu100 man you should go to imdb and write a review! there are too many negative comments on the forum there and i bet you could help people see why this movie is important. your totally right, its a metaphor for life.

  • This is one of the darkest films I've seen in a long while. Very authentic, loved it. Scared the shit out of me at some points.

  • Can anybody find a place where I can get this song? I just don't know where to look these days

  • @MadMax260582 The boy died didn't he?

  • @RinzMD He didn't. Remember that one-eye was able to predict the future, that's how he won his fights over the years, he knew sacrificing himself to the natives would equate to them letting the boy live, which is why he did it. Everything one-eye does in the movie, he does it for the boy.

  • @MadMax260582 The Natives kind of left the boy there, so he would have died eventually, that's how I saw it.

  • @RinzMD Im not trying to sound desrespectfull, but. If they all die, what's the point of the film then? And besides, i think a boy from that day and age is more able to survive in the wild then most adults today.

  • une merveille

  • This song is really memorable, anyone knows who it is from? I need to know

  • @CirrusUncinus Okay, found it, it's Peter Peter & Peter Kyed... I'll definitely check out those guys' output

  • This is one helluva strong movie.

  • Can't find this anywhere to download/purchase.

  • @davaocityforever

    letmewatchthis ch/watch-315462-Valhalla-Rising

  • Could you please say to me where did you get this? I couldn't find OST in the Net :(

  • Also. When the boy said that he came from hell, did he realy mean the land they were and where he died?

  • @MaximTOL From what i get, "hell" is where they came from. Taking the boy out of hell and into the "holy land" was his way of saving the boy (the only human being who didn't see him as a monster) from hell. In the end, after stacking stones, (his own grave) he sacrifice himself to ensure the boy's safety and went back to where he came from, his home, hell. (well at lest spirituli)

  • This film was something that I couldnt forget for the last week. The thing is that it left me a lot of questions which are not answered! I understand that this film was philisophical, but I didnt get it. Can anyone please tell me what was realy happening at the ending and what the hell happened to the boy?

  • @bobbygnosis good call. where can i buy it?!

  • wish i could have this song to move the iron around. After watching this movie i feel like i can balance the world on my shoulders. so solid. anyone know where to download this track?

  • @bucksofbourbon Support the artists, bro. Buy it.

  • Valhalla Rising may be one of the most pure badass movies I've seen in a good long while. Loved it.

  • I've done some serious digging to find a movie with a similar feel than this masterpiece. Only Bronson came a bit close.

I'm ttrying to watch the pusher series now to check if it's any good ^^

I certainly have faith in the director ^^

  • @Stormtjakka

U caan check out Tarkovsky movies. Stalker is brilliant.

  • This is part of what makes a good movie. =)

  • A painful, frightening, fantastic view of primal man.

  • dont take this movie literally.......i highly suggest using herbal enhancements before viewing

  • @cmdnum6

    how was it?

  • Where can i get the whole soundtrack?

Please let me know if anyone knows.

  • @rudyevil

Exactly! I can't find it nowhere!

  • If i could get this on my ipod...i could bench 500 pounds.

  • @vampsith Me and my dad where laughing cause he said its the kind of song you coud run to and then i read your comment.

  • @xDwinz Dude seriously, how can you NOT be superhuman with this song playing/the movie in your mind? lol

  • @vampsith I know right xD

  • @vampsith I had this on my ipod whilst sparring in Kenpo the other night, one hell of a work out handelling all 8 quandrants at once, the beat very subtly unleashes the force.

  • @DARTHMOBIUS

    lol fattie

  • @Apoc897 One may look like the ass end of a bus but I Bench 300K lol

  • @DARTHMOBIUS

    Fucking bitchtits

  • @Apoc897 Your only jealous, but dont fret after all it's your future you can see, it's inevitable you will join the dough boy club LOLz

  • @vampsith vidtomp3. go for it.

  • The most intense movie ever

  • how to do i get this music?

  • Do you have any more of this? I adore these kind of dark ambient soundscapes :)

  • @FreakyJP For what it's worth, the Valhalla Rising track reminds me of Max Steals Briefcase from the movie Collateral. Maybe you'll like it as much as I do. watch?v=nB0db4q7WvE

  • This sounds terrible

  • Does anyone know where to buy this music from?

  • Arcturis... if you're being sarcastic about fear, then you have no artistic imagination. Give up on life. If you are being literal about this movie having no historical accuracy read some books. Give up on life. You suck

  • First off- I love this soundtrack. If you are looking for an action-packed Viking movie- wrong tree. The movie has lots of problems, but it presents really striking combination of image/texture/sound- in a word it's very cinematic (as compared to literary, theatrical...). I agree that the hour and a half watching was not particularly enjoyable, but I'm pretty sure I will remember many of the images and whatever they evoke for a long time. To me that's worth something.

  • Fantastic movie!!!!!

  • ny no means a great movie, grading on a curve Id give this feature a oscar, IM sick and tired of artificialty and crapola in movies, Brad Pit may star as Abe Lincoln, this is a time travel leap, and like time travel you aint necessarily gonna know what the hells going on just accept and watch

  • This movie is a piece of shit, hour and a half feels like 4 hours, it is like no country for old men, except WAY less dialague and WAY less action. a bunch of starving guys traveling for an hour and 10 minutes exchanging facial expressions every 20 minutes some one gets stabbed and then the main guy gets clubbed by native american looking dudes, the end.

You might think, oh that is just a summary, no... it is the ENTIRE movie

  • @Arcturistheballer No, that's a summary. Not even a very good one at that ^_^

  • @Arcturistheballer I see this movie went completely over your simpleton head, and the fact that you compare it to No Country For Old Men, in a bad light, really just lets me know that you reside on the bottom of the barrel plateau of consciousness. Definitely not an action movie, it's an amazing film with a lot of symbolism and a lot for the viewer to interpret.

  • @Arcturistheballer This movie doesnt cater to you, its like hitching a ride on a time travlers back, dont expect to understand everything you see. They dont see native Americans with the eyes of nick at night watchers, Its time for men on wires with moose in their hair for a action movie to leave, its not brilliant, but the idea is, realism

  • @guitargold77 there is no "realism" in this entire movie.

  • @Arcturistheballer theirs no way I can change your mind, but it is realistic, the slave fighting is not hammed up at all, but when they land in north America & it gets weird, thats a way of forcing u to see things as those back then did, as demonic & mythic, when its just a bunch of indians

  • @guitargold77 dude, if you think anything in this movie is realistic, or historically accurate in any way you are sorely mistaken.

  • @Arcturistheballer Fear is real.

  • @FuckingDoug wow excellent response, this movie is historically accurate because it depicts fear.

  • @Arcturistheballer I didn't say that.

  • i just watched this. its hella cool/trippy movie.

  • great movie. i cant believe i almost miss it.

  • still looking for the soundtrack, so if anyone knows if and when its coming, please let me know, thanx

    cheers from Berlin

    beate

  • Isnt the music in this movie made by Mogwai? Cant find the name of the tune though...

  • @TB793 It's by Peter Kyed & Peter Peter as IMDB says, but IMDB does not have a tracklist for the soundtrack.

  • Comment removed

  • if you liked this movie I strongly suggest you to watch Aquirre The Wrath of God and Dead Man. All three are very similar in spirit.

  • @PeyoteCowboy I saw Dead Man a few years back. Sorry, but I just didn't get it.

  • @Cerberusballs oh neither have I :) But I usually enjoy those films for the ride not for the message. I think those movies are meant not to teach you anything but to put you into certain trance and trigger your imagination and "idea exploring". Blazing and watching it works too...

  • So who made the music and is the soundtrack available for purchase?

  • I love this movie. Fucking amazing.

  • Masterpiece. From this kind of music I can advice Wardruna and Gustaf Hildebrand.

  • @averit Your probably the only person to have made the connection. I thought the same thing. Love Wardruna gonna check out gustaf hildebrand!

  • @funknotik You are a Fucking anal warrior

  • saw it last night, freaking fantastic movie

  • Try listen to Svartbag, which is a project Peter Kyed is a part of

  • some of my fave music from VR is the score from the trailer, if they do make a soundtrack, theyd better include it!

  • This movie is just incredible, so amazing in so many ways!

  • Bel film

  • any idea who the artist is?

  • @Themis711

    Peter Peter and Peter Kyed

there is no release yet. A other user told that it is "in the making". hopefully

  • @XdjkillroyX Lets hope that he was right and that the soundtrack will be released soon :D

  • love it

  • Were can i get this score? Can anyone send it to me?

  • Great Pictures, great Sound, Great Atmosphere...

  • does any1 know who performs this track....gr8 film...very strange

  • Love that sound-track. No surprises that the director wanted Mogwai, but they couldn't commit to the film owing to a tour.

  • dude!!! That track is the only good track of the whole movie! haha! that film sure was wierd...

  • @Aelkamal Weird... But awesome.
