This is rather simplistic, but the American founding father had it right, when they wrote the constitution. Basically State rights trumps federal rights, congress trumps the president, local sheriff trumps federal agents, stay away from foreign entanglements, no lobbyists, no political party system, just representatives representing there constituents, and financially no central banks, let congress control the issuance of currency, locally let the free market reign, internationally I don't know.

My only objection to this, and this is a broad objection that anti-statists make, is saying that democracy is majority rule. I don't support majority rule per-say, but 'democracy' as it exists in reality and not how it exists in [romanticized and faulty] theory, is a minority of voters voting for a politician for reasons largely irrespective of what the politician claims to do, and even more irrespective of what the politician actually does.
