I really like the first two movies two. not that CGI one with a villian that as just boring.

yes i love the tmnt 2k3 series the most because it, to me, goes more into what individual 'turtle' really is. it could go deeper but it's meant for kids and so the emotional scenes are little to non-existant and if they are there it's dulled down. still a great series to see a visual of the fighting since its the greatest animation i've ever seen in a 'cartoon' not anime :D ya tmnt anime...*shudder* that and next mutation... '87 series was funny and i watch it for its silliness not for its story

I nevere watched the cartoon because of it's crummy animation compared to the 80s/90s cartoon. However this video got me interested maybe I'll track down a few episodes....

@mariomania take a look at the animation of the old cartoon you can actually see muscle structures on the turtles arms and details on their weapons. You can't on the new show looks like they just tried to make something as fast and easy as possible.

@TheSamiryoussef The stories are better and the fight scenes are more elaborate.  That doesn't mean the art is better. Like I said above you can see muscle structures details on weapons and vehicles in the original. There are no details on any of the art in the newer show it looks like they tried to draw everything as simple and as fast as possible and I don't like that.

I like the 2003 series better than the 1987 series that right I've watched them both. The 1987 series was very silly while the 2003 series is more serious and action oriented. Venus SHOULD be wiped from continuity. Female turtles dont look any different from male turtles seriously look it up.

I understand your point and I understand why you feel that specific way about Venus, but to me, she's just one tiny part of the whole universe that is TMNT. It was an idea that they ran with, that, yeah, wasn't a smart decision, but it didn't last. I'm not sure if she should just be erased from history.

Plus, I dunno, I never hated The Next Mutation series. It was fun to wake up on Saturdays and watch a little self contained live action episode.

But that's just me.

@stoofighter Yeah, people are degenerate assholes to not be open to different takes on things. I think the 2003 is a great improvement. It doesn't at all get in the way of me appreciating the old show for what it is, a kids show that I loved as a kid. Harder to watch nowadays but it's still good.

I love the 2003 TMNT series! It's a pretty good cartoon! It visualy looks better and captures the feel of the turtles lurking around in the shadows like ninjas. The 87 cartoon was to cutesy and lame. The turtles in the 2003 series actually look like they could kick butt!

Peter Laird is a hypocrite. Why? He calls the original '80s toon campy and silly AND YET he allowed them to do that Ninja Turtles Fast Forward and this new upcoming series about the turtles in cyber space. Fast Forward was as campy as the '80s toon and he seemed okay with it. He's ruined the current toon, the comics have sucked since he bought out Eastman...the man is a disgrace to cartoons and comics everywhere!

I haven't read the comics in a long time, I forgot I just reread some of the comics my mistake,Oroku Saki is the younger brother of Oroku Nagi and originally Splinter sent the turtles to kill shredder to avenge his Master Yoshi.

If Pete was against FF, he did very little to stop it, but he's hell-bent on keeping Bebop, Rock and Venus from all new TMNT projects. The hypocrite!

Rocksteady and Bebop though beloved by many are rather silly characters. Look its great you love the 87 series, but I am glad that some of those characters were banned. They were silly, and having watched a few episodes of the Original series here on You tube, the original series though fun to watch, is quite silly. And Shredder was quite laughable, not hte threat he is in the comics or the 03 series.

And again your logic makes no sense. The only stupidity I see is from Fast Forward but even that is a bit more enjoyable then the 87 series. The 87 was good, but the problem with it was that it just was way too silly. To me it was more of a comedy series then an action series.....look at the plots of it....if anyone does not get turtles its you, and by the way, Fast Forward was not Lairds idea, it was forced upon him by 4 kids. The seventh season they will return to the 2003 continuity.

Originally in the comics Shredder is an utrom, watch the lost season of tmnt with the true incarnation of the Shredder. Bebop, Rocksteady and Venus were only added as non cannon characters which they did not fit into the storyline very well so it's better to forget about bringing them back.

The Ninja Turtles I know and love are continuously slammed by Peter Laird the wash-up and I refuse to give any support to any future TMNT incarnations. I'm collecting the original toon on DVD, I love the original movie, I have a ton of Ninja Turtles video games. That's good enough for me.
