Ever have issues with the dogs getting too close to the bike and getting hit by the pedals, or wheels?

No, not at all. The Springer device holds the dog out, away from the wheel, making it very difficult for him to get in the way. He learned very quickly to let me take the lead and run alongside. Thanks for asking!
