I was born in armada, but my dad had all the transformers series/season or what ever you wanna call tehm and i have to say, the only one i thought was "rubbish" was Beast Wars.

well, that's probably because you're in the modern CG world. Beast Wars was early commercial CG. People these days expect really nice looking CGI, which wasn't so easily done back in 1996 when Beast Wars was made (or really it would have been created in 2004 or 2005 and then released in 2006)

No, I was born in 1980 and grew watching G1, which I loved to death, I had tons of TF toys. G1 is a source of nostalgia, but beyond that, looking things objectively, there is a lot of things in G1 that doesn't hold up today very well, mainly the very loose continuation from episode to another (at least in the first two seasons) and my favourite thing, Megatron. Where G1 Megatron is a true classic with awesome voice (thx Welker), Animated Megatron still, to me, is what he should have always been.

My god how the Animated version transformers suck. G1 was alot better, more serious, better art work. Animated Transformers look like giant anorexic people with crappy suits on. Whats the deal with the really skinny legs and large torsos?

This type of art work should die out and never come back again. Who ever does the art work for Cartoon network should be shot. Optimus Prime in vehicle mode does not even look like a truck. Sigh, I feel bad for the younger generation.

lol, i thought the same exact way when i first saw the series, then i grew to like it because i need my transformers fix...yeah i'm nerdy like that. Oh and why none of the vehicle modes of the transformers look like real vehicles is because the story of these guys takes place in the semi-distant future and it follows the G1 transformers, and the beastwars/beastmachines, but yeah compared to the other installments of the transformers saga i agree, tranimated sucks...

I know what you mean. But after I gave it a chance and watched the first episode, after that I didn't mind the artstyle at all. I've watched all the episodes and the series does some things better than the G1-series.I much prefer Animated's Megatron (total badass here), Starscream and Shockwave over their g1 ones. Also the continuation of the story is something I really missed from g1. Although Animated doesn't have the important nostalgia factor yet, at least I like Animated better.

i like it, yeah the artwork isnt as good as G1s awesomeness, but the storyline reminds me more of the old cartoons than any of the other Transformers series since then.

Corey Burton as Shockwave, Susan Blu as Arcee, John Moschitta as Blurr many of the voice cast are those who did G1 voices.

Though id love to see peter cullen as prime.

I foud it interesting that Prime wasnt the supreme leader of the Autobots like he was in G1 he was a young bot who still had things to learn.

I mean, seriously, if you look back at the 80's cartoons they're cheesy and have lots of animation glitches (color swapping, etc) and some of the lingo is different from modern day lingo. I think only those who grew up in that day and age really appreciate the show because we simply grew up with it.

i have a few predictions in the series. #1 saori will be an android or something similar, #2 Ultra Magnus will die and pass the matrix to prime making him more powerful and closer in looks to the g1 version, and #3 Megatron will upgrade himself to galvatron.

Those are good theories. I myself would agree with the 1st theory. However, I think Ultramagnus would be going back to cybertron once he learns of megatron's plot to invade cybertron and just leave sentinel and jazz with optimus, at the same time making Optimus in command of the autobots at Earth.

Of COURSE G1 is better. G1 is my favorite. However, it's from a few decades ago and as far as I can see, giving the newer generation this show is prompting them to see the old show too. Yay for more fans! More the merrier!
