@DivineSlayer1 Actually, their 'correct genres', if you want to be specific, are Extreme Metal, Extreme Gothic Metal, Symphonic Metal, and Gothic Metal. Many of the songs do have vampiric undertones, but that's mainly to do with who Dani has subjected those particular songs and/or albums to.

That aside, Dani prefers Cradle of Filth being labelled as just that, without the genres categorising them. It's probably the main reason the band's sound changes with each album.

@razor696950 Actually they got her purely for her voice. Her looks were just a bonus. Quite a lot of female vocalists have been featured on their recent albums. It's mostly to do with Dani's quest for improving the band's sound, rather than sex appeal.

Sarah left the band to focus on a solo project, along with fronting her own band.
