  • By far the best Belgium entry

  • Ah, the majesty of the french language at its best....

  • boring and old fashioned

  • @jasonptify I FUCK YOU IN THE ASS

  • @MrEiriku --- sorry but thats what your Daddy does to you

  • magnifique chanson qui n'a pris aucune ride merveilleusement interprétée

  • Ok if not too old fashioned. Israel was better and deserved its win!

  • Must defenetly won the esc that year, c'est magnifique

  • One of our best entries !!

  • much better than the israelien song

  • 1st place for sure

  • Respect x 100

Such a pity A-ba-ni-bi won istead of this masterpiece....

12 points from Greece (actually it was!!)

  • fantastic

  • One of my all-time favourite Eurovisin songs. I love it. Danke schön.

  • @alainhammond

  • @marthyne37761

Faut pas être défaitiste... Parfois ça dure. Courage!

  • and the best Belgian entry ever!

  • @dirkbaeke

    don't forget Rapsat

  • deserve the 1st place, much better than Israel!

  • how great song!it deserved the place it got,but it could be a winner for me too!

Superbe!!!!

  • So exciting

  • Très belle chanson, Bravo La Belgique!

  • A great, timeless anthem to love, written in the tradition of those great ballads in French language that we unfortunately miss a lot nowadays.

  • ¡Magnífico crooner!

  • Eh bien moi j'adore ! Franchement, il aurait dû gagner ! Bravo les Belges !

  • lol @ 2:54

  • For this jewel of a song was utter highway robbery. You have to really feel sorry for Belgium (similar to Portugal) that they always underpreformed in the voting only down the years in the history of Eurovision. To be beaten by the song from lsrael just hit home to most of true music lovers that quality and merit do not always prevail. A great shame but thank you Belgium for this beautiful classic which will live on for ever for me.

  • I'm with EscBelgium111 too - one of the very best Eurovision songs ever, and extremely unlucky to lose to a much more childish entry. Without question they shouldn't have had to wait another eight years!

I adore the way the song just keeps building and building to that big crescendo, and Jean's performance is superb.

The other good thing is that after rarely setting my ESC scoreboard on fire, this song kicks off a decade where Belgium hardly miss being in my top ten.

  • Well, that's actually true, 1977-1984 saw an amazing run of Belgian entries in my book. This isn't one of my favourites though I definitely recognise it as a good song. I love their entries from 1980, 1983 and 1984, as well as 1977.

  • @setheurovision94 In 1984 Belgium sent a fabulous entry to the ESC and although there were other good ones (Portugal, Spain, Denmark, and Italy with who Belgium shared Place 5) Those two could have shared place 1, too, Sweden was not good that year, not even a good one.

  • sometimes I like this song but sometimes not

  • Great song, and I agree with EscBelgium111 that this would have deserved to win. Perhaps it sounds a bit old-fashioned now, 30 years later, but it's still beautiful.

  • No, I think 2nd is a very fair placing for this song. It's old-fashioned, yes, but it's just absolutely beautiful. I love it!!

  • Best song of 1978

  • -_- i think you don't undestant the lyrics XD

    Buriono

  • Kudos for uploading in this excellent quality, Seth! But, - once again - we don't agree with each other. This is my personal favourite Belgian eurovision entry and even one of the best eurovision songs imo. Shame that it didn't win (because I think A Ba Ni Bi was one of the most undeserved winners ever)

  • nice song! the best of 1978

  • Superbe chanson

  • superbe et émouvante musique

  • Boring!
