As a biker who has had his share of close calls on the road with drivers saying "Sorry mate! I didn't see you..." all I can say is that I thibk all you have here is a low to the ground, impossible to see in traffic, but very aerodynamic coffin.... A 4x4 driver will think they've hit a speedbump as they roll right over you...

I'd love to see this as part of a dual mode PRT system where you can ride on the road but also have your own elevated transport system that powers the car from the outside.
I absolutely love my country (USA) ,BUT the bureaucracy that takes place to get something like this bike/car legal for use on secondary, and back roads is ridiculous.
It would have to meet unobtainable safety standards which would weigh the vehicle down.We are suppose to be the land of the free but that's not completely true.I don't think it's governments right to tell you ,you can't design a homebuilt vehicle that is either very fuel efficient,of a man powered car, that can be used on roads.
But you still need to pedal a fair deal, and that is what kinda bothers me. Cause in the morning I like others are not the most enthusiastic about an early work out in the grogginess and there is the problem with sweat. ;)
All weather cycling!!! Awesome!! I don't agree with the price of these, though, and have built my own design, with a full body. Are there any other home builders out there?
Of all the velomobiles I have looked at on the Internet, this is by far the best "compromise".
It has a lot of windows and a fairly upright position. Controls looks excellent as well. Breaks, headlight, turn light, rear view mirror, horns and ventilation, it's all there.
What I don't like is, the luggage compartment , think I would have problems getting my school stuff in there.
I would like to see: Pure electric with pedals optional and price...
Funny. People wanted to buy this since 2003 and was in development from 1999. But the company only offers the Aerorider Sport model, which is a pretty much a standard looking velomobile but with electric assist. The Go-One 3 is an option if you want an enclosed velomobile. Aerorider should offer the concept as a limited build model, or pedal only, or even in kit form.
Its in the Klingon dialect known as Danish. From a consumer show on Danish television. He commutes around 20 miles each way to his work, charges the batteries at work etc. Some stuff about the levels of assist etc. And finally how cheap it is compared to a car both in fuel and insurance. Think he said he had it registered as a moped. Hence the licenseplate and why hes riding in the street and not on the bikepaths. Thats the short translation. Cheers Mikael (Ex-BROL'er)

Here are the technical bits:
He rides 26 km each way. Took him 45 min on his DF, and he prefers being warm and dry i the velo.
Topspeed 50 kph, range 30-40 km, battery chargetime 4 hours, weight 62 kg, cost 7.000 GBP and full insurance is 320 GBP.

The Aerorider is my dream vehicle. Any chance of a version with English subtitles?
