"Zo" got one thing wrong - Obama won't take the blame for anything, so the lyrics "It's down on me." and "I'll take the blame" are not in the vocabulary of Mr. Empty Suit Fauxbama.
The Associated Press obtained a letter written by Rev. Jeremiah Wright where he states, "No one in the Obama administration will respond to me, listen to me, talk to me or read anything that I write to them. I am 'toxic' in terms of the Obama administration ... When Obama threw me under the bus, he threw me under the bus literally!"
@MultiSlb Nah it's way more than just 37. More like 300 million, not to mention all of America's allies that President Obama has thrown under the bus.

John Brennan is a Saudi troll and should be sacked but seeing as Brennan's sycophantic attitude to the Saudi Wahhabi regime is presumably precisely why Obama appointed him as White House Counter-Terrorism Adviser, that is unlikely unless he gets too embarrassing for Obama, which might well happen, if Congressman Peter King becomes Chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security after the November elections.
Hopefully Brennan is under the bus after November.
Under my bus... all you hard-earned money.... under my bus... all your liberty & rights... under my bus. the change has come... it's all down to me(now salute)... under my bus...
Bibi Netanyahu, Hillary Clinton, Poland, the Czech Republic, and the Canadians are under his bus. Obama is the worst foreign policy President since Jimmy "Lets Hug the Thugs" Carter.
He also threw SCOTUS under the bus for defending free speech.
ZO - PLEASE update this. How many days now and how much more out of control is the bus now? I visualize the bus running over Christmas and Jesus, babies, old people, and all the "commoners" great and small. Please, please have a part 2!
Creigh Deeds, tossed under the bus along with the US Chanber of Commerse, the AMA, Jay Leno, Conan Obrien, SNL, the Olympics Selection Committee, FOX News, Greg Craig, Van Jones, Mao Tse-Tung, Anita Dunn (its coming), Gen McCrystal, Every Conservative American living or dead, the Cambridge Police Department, Sheriff Ariapo, the CIA, all blue dogs in congress who have I left out??
Regulation caused the housing crisis. Period. Mortgage companies were forced to lend to people who couldn't pay back the loans. It WAS NOT in their interest to do so. The regulations weren't helping the lenders, it helped the borrowers. The investment companies that pushed these mortgages were short-sighted. They didn't realize that these mortgages that were backed by the US government were creating a bubble that would eventually pop and devastate our economy.
Zo shows his bias by refusing to acknowledge all the people that asshole GWB threw under the bus for 8 years. First it was the low level soldiers and General Karpenski involved with Abu Ghraib, then the commanders in the field stating they should be the ones to apoligize for the scandal even though he was Commander In Chief, the CIA officer and Valerie Plame, and theGulf Coast residents after Katrina. By the way if anyone threw the Constitution under the bus it was him with the Patriot Act!!
Lets be fair. Zo is a partisan satirist, so it's particularly useful to say he's unfair. And we all know Bush sucks.
This video sucks because 1. Zo doesn't see to know what "throwing under the bus actually means (how could he throw G.W. under there? that makes no sense) 2. Obama doesn't actually have a particular history of "throwing people under the bus" (Jeremiah Wright is the only semi-reasonable example of it, and that's a real stretch) so this is not particularly good satire anyway
Reactionary more closely applies to persons who wish to overtun the individualistic principles of the American Revolution with collectivist principles of socialism. A return to a powerful central authority over the people directing their lives is not a revolution, but a regressive, reactionary return to aristocracy
I know Socialism is advertised as the will of the people and all that, but the will of the people is individual freedom, and everywhere requires suppression for socialism to exist
Not really, the English monarchy was the least centralized of the major ones. Also, to be honest, the English government extended less control over the colonies than even the first US government of Washington did. I know what you are trying to say though.
You missed my point, if the GOP didn't degenerate into a bunch of reactionary dimwits who delight in finding teh next fundamentalist hick to rally around & actually showed some class & wit, instead of Palin & Joe, maybe they would've won 2008?
At this point its not even about ideology. The GOP has become an embarrassing, anti-intellectual party of rigid partisan hacks. There are still plenty of decent folks in the party, but they aren't in control of the party.
Watching those Palin rallies last fall you could just feel the intelligence leaking away.
I wasnt sure with the first comment, but after this one I realize that you must still be fooled by the "two party" system. It doesnt exsist guy, Liberal, conservative, its all the same fucking thing and they are ALL corrupt greedy pieces of shit.
Everyday corruption and incompetence is one thing (hello Harry Reid!), but during the past decade, the GOP has managed to balloon the deficit, invade a country for no apparent reason, and laim that the President is not a U.S. citizen (okay, that last one isn't officially something we can blame the party for, but a lot of GOP primary voters believe that).
There's normal bullshit and there's bizarroworldmyheadissofarupmyassIcan'tbreathe bullshit.
Im sure calling people dumb makes you feel like a tough guy or smart. Your parents must be so proud. You keep voting for these people and I'll keep watching as nothing changes for the better.
You started it by throwing around the accusation that anyone who was a Democrat was naive dupe who had been "fooled by the two party blahblahblah." If you want to be a smart ass, you should expect other people to be smart asses right back.
I'm happy to keep the discourse elevated, "guy." YOU didn't address the point that some of us are making that the GOP these days is a bigger, more disgusting joke than the everyday-bullshit Dems could ever be.
I merely pointed out what I saw. That people (you) seem to think the only two parties that are worthy of president are the libs and cons. I dont follow either one. I follow my constitution and dont care what laws they make. The media doesnt help by giving minimum airtime to non-demo-con parties. Fuck Obama, Fuck Bush, Fuck Ron Paul they are all fucking Idiots and if we just ran off our Constitution and stayed out of peoples affairs and ended the Fed. We'd be fine.
Translate that into a plan for actual political participation. Is there a party that you LIKE? If your point is "politcs sucks" . . . well, of course politics sucks. That's why its called politics. Everyone knows it sucks. But lots of necessary things suck.
Share your vision with us. Lets get rid of the Fed cause it's frustrating and has done a lot of stupid shit. . . buuuut on the other hand, is it really a smart idea for the largest economy in the world not to have a body to administrate its economic policies? Most economists think the big recession we're dealing with was caused by UNDERregulation.
What's with the screen name by the way? My screen name is making fun of Christian fundamentalists.
As far as regulation, indeed there was a lethal combination of inssuficient regulation, and federal mandates of reduce private lending standards. Question, who wanted more regulation, and who opposed more regulation?
watch?v=hN31-nKndg8
Government's failure to do it's appointed job (yes it does have a legitimate regulatory function), and meddling in out-of-scope "social equalization" caused the problem.
I'm more willing to blame the deregulation than the "social equalization." The problem happened because of bizzaro-world super complex over leveraged mortgages. That was all about bankers and insurers playing without rules. It was a bi-partisan fuck-up to be sure.
Non-profit mortgage companies that were designed specifically to be in the "social equalization" biz were the one part of the real estate industry that DIDN'T go down the toilet. Because they didn't go apeshit crazy cash grabbing.
The "bizzaro-world super complex over leveraged mortages" were made possible by ACORN and other leftist activists who used the legal system and law makers to force those loans into existance for the purposes of "social justice". If such meddling had not occured, the loans that provided a basis for the securities meltdown would never have occured.
Social Justice activists who were interested in housing have appeared before Congress for YEARS to COMPLAIN about the adjustable rate "liar's loans" that were the grist for those financial products. In fact, Barney Frank (who's pretty left for someone in Congress) has tried to BAN those kinds of loans. The problems were caused by things like the de-regulation of hege funds (which was pushed through by the guy who was McCain's financial policy guy during his campaign).
Certainly Fannie and Freddie helped to aggravate the problem by helping to legitimize some of the bullshit that was going on, and certainly Dems were mostly complicit in this whole clusterfuck. Everybody bought into this. Bill Clinton could have really helped to prevent this (if he could get the GOP Congress to go along, which is doubtful.) But the ideologies that caused this mess was deregulation and financial industry boosterism. That Acorn bullshit is just silly. It's a talking point.
Just to give you credit, there really WAS a massive recession that was caused by social justice, liberal motivated housing policies, and government intervention. It happened during the 1970's. Before I was born.
A huge chunk of the housing problem we are dealing with now comes from suburban sprawl and overbuilding. Those aren't poor people being helped by Acorn. The hardest hit housing markets are in Fl. and Cal., two states with lots of empty subdivisions and McMansions.
Thanks for the other fact check posts you put here. The idea that liberals were the ones obsessed with home ownership is stupid. The financial industry was behind all that bullshit, and while the Dems certainly didn't do much to stand in the way, the party that embraced that stuff was the G.O.P.
Acorn had nothing to do with the mortgages....Actually it was Bush and his people that pushed the idea that everyone should own a home. And Alan greenspan, a republic, allowed these institutions to give out these loans without doing anything. It wasnt the lefties, idiot. At least know what you are talking about. you sound like a parrot...
Not so, I've seen the congressional testimony on cspan. Democrats testified they felt the system of unsound mortgages worked fine, and decried republicans as "lynching" the head of fannie mae when they insisted on more oversight, and sounder lending standards. As for ACORN, they threatened mortage company after company they'd sue for discrimination, and did sue, to force lower lending standards. The dem dream of giving everyone a house left us with everyone having houses they couldn't afford
Very good. For one every body is involved with this subprime mess. repub and democrats. Bush, who pushed the idea that everyone can own a home. Phil Gramm who stuck in a clause that allowed subprime mortgage to do whatever to allow these companies to not be regulated. The SEC, headed by Chris dodd, a republican by not chasing after these sellers of these worthless mortgages. As far as republicans wanting regulation i think you are incorrect because alan greenspan was notified about..cont
Bush? It goes all the way back to Jimmie Carter, and through every administration afterward. And yes, Republicans wanted more regulation. Don't take my word for it: watch?v=ENBdqiMvJ7A and listen to the testimony in congress. As you say, this problem is bigger than political parites, but don't rewrite history.
The worthless mortgages were backed by the US government through Freddy Mac and Fannie Mae! Lenders had every right to believe the mortgages were good, they were backed by the worlds only super power! It's because of the sheer volume of US backed mortgages got to the point that the US could no longer back them, that we had the bubble pop. Do you get your news of anyone who actually knows the facts or do you just accept the talking heads as all knowing oracles?
All these companies pressured everyone to buy these bad secured mortgages. It was not only poor people it was middle class and upper class people that thought they were going to flip a house. The whole god damn country is to blame. So far republicans have the dirtiest hands in this mess. But we need to stop with the blame. All these idiots on youtube preaching repub and liberal rhetoric. Like this singing fool here. capitalism is cool but we did not realize that people are responsible for this.
Telling someone they can have more money they can pay back is not pressuring. Once the lending standards were done in, the game was over, and irresponsible lending was open to irresponsible people. You are right that the real fault is in the people as a whole, who by the majority acted irresponsibly.
Did any Democrats warn of the housing bubble? I have seen Barney Frank and others MOCKING Republicans for warning of the housing bubble. They actually went on to accuse the Bush Whitehouse of fear mongering on the subject. So which Democrats were warning of the housing bubble? Also, could you explain why, if Bush and McCain both warned of the housing bubble, do you then blame the bubble on Republicans?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I didnt say democrats warned of the housing bubble either. No one mentioned because everybody was getting paid. Only a few people acknowledged a housing bubble and they were mostly economists. This mess is everybody faults but the people who were in charge. REPUBLICANS, Alan Greenspan and Chris cox of the sec did not to try to stop it. Dont get your republican panties all bunched up guy.
Not really but it's easy to sell it as that if those are the only folks the MSM lets come forward. And its not like McCain was terribly intellectual either.
GOP has been banking on the Rockefeller wing. Between McCain, Schwarzenegger, GOP sought to be "Welfare Liberal/Socialist"-lite, and found in taste tests people generally prefer real Democrats. Meanwhile they have alienated their base and and undermined their credibility, principles, and brand recognition
I'd agree that there are smart Republicans out there, but I wouldn't blame the media. That's a lame excuse. CNN didn't pick Sarah Palin to be McCain's running mate. NBC didn't invite Joe the Plummer on the campaign trail.
Face it, the GOP's base has gotten out of control. The grown ups need to find some way to get back in charge over there.
True the media didn't pick Palin, but on the whole it did as much as possible to excoriate her. The same happened to Joe the Plumber for getting Obama to admit is socialist tendancies, though it was McCain's fault for trying to make him a feature of his campaign.
They excoriated her because she was unqualified to be the Vice President. That's all. She was put into that position because she appealed to "the base." The problem the GOP has at the moment is "the base."
I've got no quarrel with either principled Libertarianism or with being cautious about social change. Although my own sympathies are leftist, I'm willing to acknowledge that SMART conservatives are right about lots of issues. But the GOP base doesn't reeeaally want smart conservatism.
Your so called "fundamentalist hick"s are more representative of the founders of this nation than the McCain types. McCain had nothing 'till Palin came on.
You're quite right to point out that Americans tollerate much more dominance by the federal government than the colonists tollerated from England. Indeed a case of degeneration. The song of collectivism has swayed many to surrender their local sovereignty and responsibility to a central authority. Such is not progress for liberty.
Another quote worth reading:Don't interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our liberties. And not to Democrats alone do I make this appeal, but to all who love these great and true principles.

that's hilarious! ahhhh Obama better make good with something here or It's over for him come 2012. He's a joke.. All ass no class.

By the way if anyone threw the Constitution under the bus it was him with the Patriot Act!!
hhsgrad1988 2 years ago
Lets be fair. Zo is a partisan satirist, so it's particularly useful to say he's unfair. And we all know Bush sucks.
This video sucks because 1. Zo doesn't see to know what "throwing under the bus actually means (how could he throw G.W. under there? that makes no sense) 2. Obama doesn't actually have a particular history of "throwing people under the bus" (Jeremiah Wright is the only semi-reasonable example of it, and that's a real stretch) so this is not particularly good satire anyway

From someone who admires reactionary dimwits like Palin or Joe the Plumber, this is quite a putdown
MongoloidBabyUSA 2 years ago
"reactionary"? Hey, commie, why don't you move your socialist ass to Red China?
vladmods 2 years ago 7
Reactionary more closely applies to persons who wish to overtun the individualistic principles of the American Revolution with collectivist principles of socialism. A return to a powerful central authority over the people directing their lives is not a revolution, but a regressive, reactionary return to aristocracy
I know Socialism is advertised as the will of the people and all that, but the will of the people is individual freedom, and everywhere requires suppression for socialism to exist
xagcx 2 years ago
Not really, the English monarchy was the least centralized of the major ones. Also, to be honest, the English government extended less control over the colonies than even the first US government of Washington did. I know what you are trying to say though.
You missed my point, if the GOP didn't degenerate into a bunch of reactionary dimwits who delight in finding teh next fundamentalist hick to rally around & actually showed some class & wit, instead of Palin & Joe, maybe they would've won 2008?
MongoloidBabyUSA 2 years ago
Yep.
At this point its not even about ideology. The GOP has become an embarrassing, anti-intellectual party of rigid partisan hacks. There are still plenty of decent folks in the party, but they aren't in control of the party.
Watching those Palin rallies last fall you could just feel the intelligence leaking away.
bobjones864 2 years ago
I wasnt sure with the first comment, but after this one I realize that you must still be fooled by the "two party" system. It doesnt exsist guy, Liberal, conservative, its all the same fucking thing and they are ALL corrupt greedy pieces of shit.
hajishack79 2 years ago
You must think everybody's as dumb as you are.
There's normal bullshit and there's bizarroworldmyheadissofarupmyassIcan'tbreathe bullshit.
bobjones864 2 years ago
Im sure calling people dumb makes you feel like a tough guy or smart. Your parents must be so proud. You keep voting for these people and I'll keep watching as nothing changes for the better.
hajishack79 2 years ago
You started it by throwing around the accusation that anyone who was a Democrat was naive dupe who had been "fooled by the two party blahblahblah." If you want to be a smart ass, you should expect other people to be smart asses right back.
I'm happy to keep the discourse elevated, "guy." YOU didn't address the point that some of us are making that the GOP these days is a bigger, more disgusting joke than the everyday-bullshit Dems could ever be.
bobjones864 2 years ago
Who are you gonna vote for next time around? The ridiculous party that got us in this mess? That's a good enough question to start with.
I suppose I'm throwing my chips in with the lesser of two evils here, but after the past decade, that's more than good enough for me.
So if you think both parties are full of shit, what's your solution?
bobjones864 2 years ago
You have a point though. I don't assume that you are dumb. But you have yet to prove that you are thoughtful. I'll stop now.
Your turn.
bobjones864 2 years ago
I merely pointed out what I saw. That people (you) seem to think the only two parties that are worthy of president are the libs and cons. I dont follow either one. I follow my constitution and dont care what laws they make. The media doesnt help by giving minimum airtime to non-demo-con parties. Fuck Obama, Fuck Bush, Fuck Ron Paul they are all fucking Idiots and if we just ran off our Constitution and stayed out of peoples affairs and ended the Fed. We'd be fine.
hajishack79 2 years ago
"Fuck this. Fuck that. Rant rant rant."
Translate that into a plan for actual political participation. Is there a party that you LIKE? If your point is "politcs sucks" . . . well, of course politics sucks. That's why its called politics. Everyone knows it sucks. But lots of necessary things suck.
bobjones864 2 years ago
Share your vision with us. Lets get rid of the Fed cause it's frustrating and has done a lot of stupid shit. . . buuuut on the other hand, is it really a smart idea for the largest economy in the world not to have a body to administrate its economic policies? Most economists think the big recession we're dealing with was caused by UNDERregulation.
What's with the screen name by the way? My screen name is making fun of Christian fundamentalists.
bobjones864 2 years ago
As far as regulation, indeed there was a lethal combination of inssuficient regulation, and federal mandates of reduce private lending standards. Question, who wanted more regulation, and who opposed more regulation?
watch?v=hN31-nKndg8
Government's failure to do it's appointed job (yes it does have a legitimate regulatory function), and meddling in out-of-scope "social equalization" caused the problem.
xagcx 2 years ago
I'm more willing to blame the deregulation than the "social equalization." The problem happened because of bizzaro-world super complex over leveraged mortgages. That was all about bankers and insurers playing without rules. It was a bi-partisan fuck-up to be sure.
Non-profit mortgage companies that were designed specifically to be in the "social equalization" biz were the one part of the real estate industry that DIDN'T go down the toilet. Because they didn't go apeshit crazy cash grabbing.
bobjones864 2 years ago
The "bizzaro-world super complex over leveraged mortages" were made possible by ACORN and other leftist activists who used the legal system and law makers to force those loans into existance for the purposes of "social justice". If such meddling had not occured, the loans that provided a basis for the securities meltdown would never have occured.
xagcx 2 years ago
That's 100% stupid.
The problems were caused by things like the de-regulation of hege funds (which was pushed through by the guy who was McCain's financial policy guy during his campaign).
bobjones864 2 years ago
Certainly Fannie and Freddie helped to aggravate the problem by helping to legitimize some of the bullshit that was going on, and certainly Dems were mostly complicit in this whole clusterfuck. Everybody bought into this. Bill Clinton could have really helped to prevent this (if he could get the GOP Congress to go along, which is doubtful.) But the ideologies that caused this mess was deregulation and financial industry boosterism. That Acorn bullshit is just silly. It's a talking point.
bobjones864 2 years ago
Just to give you credit, there really WAS a massive recession that was caused by social justice, liberal motivated housing policies, and government intervention. It happened during the 1970's. Before I was born.
A huge chunk of the housing problem we are dealing with now comes from suburban sprawl and overbuilding. Those aren't poor people being helped by Acorn. The hardest hit housing markets are in Fl. and Cal., two states with lots of empty subdivisions and McMansions.
bobjones864 2 years ago
Thank you...I think the guys name was Phill Gramm...
magicwhiteguys 2 years ago
Yes. That's right.
Thanks for the other fact check posts you put here. The idea that liberals were the ones obsessed with home ownership is stupid. The financial industry was behind all that bullshit, and while the Dems certainly didn't do much to stand in the way, the party that embraced that stuff was the G.O.P.
bobjones864 2 years ago
Yes. That's correct.
bobjones864 2 years ago
Acorn had nothing to do with the mortgages....Actually it was Bush and his people that pushed the idea that everyone should own a home. And Alan greenspan, a republic, allowed these institutions to give out these loans without doing anything. It wasnt the lefties, idiot. At least know what you are talking about. you sound like a parrot...
magicwhiteguys 2 years ago
Not so, I've seen the congressional testimony on cspan. Democrats testified they felt the system of unsound mortgages worked fine, and decried republicans as "lynching" the head of fannie mae when they insisted on more oversight, and sounder lending standards. As for ACORN, they threatened mortage company after company they'd sue for discrimination, and did sue, to force lower lending standards. The dem dream of giving everyone a house left us with everyone having houses they couldn't afford
xagcx 2 years ago 2
As far as republicans wanting regulation i think you are incorrect because alan greenspan was notified about..cont
magicwhiteguys 2 years ago
Bush? It goes all the way back to Jimmie Carter, and through every administration afterward. And yes, Republicans wanted more regulation. Don't take my word for it: watch?v=ENBdqiMvJ7A and listen to the testimony in congress. As you say, this problem is bigger than political parites, but don't rewrite history.
xagcx 2 years ago
The worthless mortgages were backed by the US government through Freddy Mac and Fannie Mae! Lenders had every right to believe the mortgages were good, they were backed by the worlds only super power! It's because of the sheer volume of US backed mortgages got to the point that the US could no longer back them, that we had the bubble pop. Do you get your news of anyone who actually knows the facts or do you just accept the talking heads as all knowing oracles?
SpiderCMB 2 years ago
All these companies pressured everyone to buy these bad secured mortgages. It was not only poor people it was middle class and upper class people that thought they were going to flip a house. The whole god damn country is to blame. So far republicans have the dirtiest hands in this mess. But we need to stop with the blame. All these idiots on youtube preaching repub and liberal rhetoric. Like this singing fool here. capitalism is cool but we did not realize that people are responsible for this.
magicwhiteguys 2 years ago
Telling someone they can have more money they can pay back is not pressuring. Once the lending standards were done in, the game was over, and irresponsible lending was open to irresponsible people. You are right that the real fault is in the people as a whole, who by the majority acted irresponsibly.
xagcx 2 years ago
Exactly.
SpiderCMB 2 years ago
That's a flat out lie. Republicans were pushing for more oversight and warning of a housing bubble in 2003.
SpiderCMB 2 years ago 4
Some republicans did. but not most of them
magicwhiteguys 2 years ago
Did any Democrats warn of the housing bubble? I have seen Barney Frank and others MOCKING Republicans for warning of the housing bubble. They actually went on to accuse the Bush Whitehouse of fear mongering on the subject. So which Democrats were warning of the housing bubble? Also, could you explain why, if Bush and McCain both warned of the housing bubble, do you then blame the bubble on Republicans?
SpiderCMB 2 years ago 6

I didnt say democrats warned of the housing bubble either. No one mentioned because everybody was getting paid. Only a few people acknowledged a housing bubble and they were mostly economists. This mess is everybody faults but the people who were in charge. REPUBLICANS, Alan Greenspan and Chris cox of the sec did not to try to stop it. Dont get your republican panties all bunched up guy.

"anti-intellectual party "
Not really but it's easy to sell it as that if those are the only folks the MSM lets come forward. And its not like McCain was terribly intellectual either.
GOP has been banking on the Rockefeller wing. Between McCain, Schwarzenegger, GOP sought to be "Welfare Liberal/Socialist"-lite, and found in taste tests people generally prefer real Democrats. Meanwhile they have alienated their base and and undermined their credibility, principles, and brand recognition
xagcx 2 years ago
I'd agree that there are smart Republicans out there, but I wouldn't blame the media. That's a lame excuse. CNN didn't pick Sarah Palin to be McCain's running mate. NBC didn't invite Joe the Plummer on the campaign trail.
Face it, the GOP's base has gotten out of control. The grown ups need to find some way to get back in charge over there.
bobjones864 2 years ago
It does look like Amateur Hour.
True the media didn't pick Palin, but on the whole it did as much as possible to excoriate her. The same happened to Joe the Plumber for getting Obama to admit is socialist tendancies, though it was McCain's fault for trying to make him a feature of his campaign.
xagcx 2 years ago
They excoriated her because she was unqualified to be the Vice President. That's all. She was put into that position because she appealed to "the base." The problem the GOP has at the moment is "the base."
I've got no quarrel with either principled Libertarianism or with being cautious about social change. Although my own sympathies are leftist, I'm willing to acknowledge that SMART conservatives are right about lots of issues. But the GOP base doesn't reeeaally want smart conservatism.
bobjones864 2 years ago
Your so called "fundamentalist hick"s are more representative of the founders of this nation than the McCain types. McCain had nothing 'till Palin came on.
You're quite right to point out that Americans tollerate much more dominance by the federal government than the colonists tollerated from England. Indeed a case of degeneration. The song of collectivism has swayed many to surrender their local sovereignty and responsibility to a central authority. Such is not progress for liberty.
