I've been watching wrestling for years and I've never seen anyone "win" a title. I've seen guys awarded a title or just given a title. But never once has anyone ever "won" it. Titles are just stage props that ultimately mean very little. That's why I mostly don't care if my favorite guys are champion or not.

But if Edge wasn't forced to retire, Savage would have been the first one in this year just for the sake of filling space on the show.

For me, Randy Savage is the greatest of all time, because he was a phenomenal in-ring performer, an electric mic man, absurdly charismatic, great-looking, and a major draw. Nobody comes close to Savage in providing everything a promotion could want in a professional wrestler.

WWE is pretty much the opposite of what WCW was. WCW didn't push younger superstars. Where as WWE doesn't hire / push the older superstars, which sucks. I was happy to see older stars like Tatanka or Mr. Perfect return but mad they were pretty much jobbers.

Jim Ross has not been in control of talent realtions for a long time and had nothing to do with thether or not Savage would have returned to the WWE. Savage did the promo for the new Macho Man action figure last year and was probably in talks to go into the hall of fame, but there is no way that he was going to wrestle and anyone that thinks so is just being silly. I think he had one hell of a career and the only thing he lacked was a longer life. RIP Macho Man!!!!!
