Toon Boom Storyboard Take a Tour

ToonBoom at current times is simply unbeatable, but unfortunately I don't run Windows. Is there any chance ToonBoom products would be released for Ubuntu platform (considering the Ubuntu Software Center seems to have a good demand and userbase for commercial apps)?

Why are your guys' prices so high? Toon Boom Animate is the same price as Flash and doesn't even do as much as Flash...

@alextheawesome99 When it comes to creating animation, the Animate family is by far superior to Flash. Flash is a great complement when it comes to add interactivity.

the only way you could make such a statement is if you have not tested toonboom's products, I used to be just like you trying to defend flash.

@rogerLOX yeah right, we all know flash DOES NOT have a camera or 3d, and i know flash very well and it doesn't come close to the effects toonboom has. Yes flash can achieve great things but toonboom makes it much easier and faster. get your facts right. Check out Adam Philips (chluaid on youtube) and watch his stuff, he was also a flash user who switched to toonboom and he is a top notch animator.

@ToonBoomAnimation is this programs recommended for manga artist. I make my own manga. but i want to animate it. so can you recommend any program good for me? if you could it would be very helpful. (sorry im starting to learn english this year)

@MrEC95 This program is for storyboarding, not animating. For animation creation, we would recommend Toon Boom Animate that can be perfect for manga. Check it out!

I agree this is a great software. While the full price can feel like a hit, I found it paid for itself on my first project. Especially with doing animatics for clients. I've upsold many clients because they saw how fast and cool the animatics are. Upsells mean extra cash with little extra effort or time.

Also, I have no lag on my Cintiq. Snipercheez may have a driver issue or not enough RAM.

TB Storyboard is by far the best product on the on the market in its class. We've tested this product extensively and have found it to be one of the most efficient ways to produce storyboards. It's such an improvement in terms of productivity. But ultimately the price for the fully functional version is just plain obscene.

We would certainly become this products biggest evangelists if the price for the full un-crippled version was dropped to or below $300.
