I agree, any good warlock could tear a good mage up. If they summon their elemental, then you hit it with your pet, its health is about the same as your Succubus.' Plus the fears and CoT, regarding your spec you should easily win. Unless your destro. =D

Mages require a lot more skill to play than warlock. Warlock can easily defeat a mage on a 1v1 basis, doesn't mean the class is any good. Warlocks need some serious balancing.

warlocks own mages because they are overpowered. the only class that can beat a lock is rogue. And locks gear is always better with difference than the other 2 cloth classes. Check Merciless Gladiator's for locks and mages and compare them for example. You'll see what i mean. Blizzard screws up mages in every patch.
