Sorry but bantu knots, or chiney bumps, DO NOT look good on "light skinned" people. Just my opinion. If it is something you are doing to get curls overnight, then cool. It's like white people trying to rock braids, NOT cute.
im sooo scared to show off my REAL and natural hair. people have only seen me with weaves and wigs during my "transition"... its hurtful when they tell me that i SUPPOSE to have a perm and my hair looks nappy. sooo thanks for this video, im gonna try it 2NIGHT!!!
Thank you so much! Growing up with a mother who was caucasian, she doesn't know very well how to manage my hair. But you helped me so much with your videos and now I love my natural hair! Thanks again!
I loveee this video. Suscribing definitely. If you have the time please check out my video. I'm new to making videos and would love any of your advice/input. Thank youuu =]
i think because it originated in africa, Bantu is an african word, is a group of different tribes in africa, i am from a bantu tribe and i use to do this on my hair when i was younger.
Skin colour is actually a very weak indicator of ancestry because all single races have natural skin colour divserty.
In fact natrual skin colour diversity is highest among black/ Sub Saharan Africans so there are plenty of black girls in Africa who have a skin tone similar to the girl in this video.
google skin colour divserty highest
Anyway this video is about hair so race is irrelevant
Did you blow dry your hair or let it dry by air. I have been doing my bantu knots on wet hair and since my hair is permed my curls comes out really tight.
I think that bantu knots on wet hair gives you a very tight look, but on dry hair the look is looser. In her video her hair was dry. It may be difficult for the relaxed part of your hair to curl without a lot of product- I am having that problem.
hi, I dont mean to be rude but, can this be used for a girl like me with blonde hair, if u see on my profile then, then u will see but, yes will it work on my hair?
I think it will work if you do it on lightly damp hair. I do very large bantu knots on wet hair doing only three on either side of my head. (I am mixed with white).
If your hair will not stay in place, just use clips to keep them up. Leave them in for a few hours (if your hair is super straight) and then unclip them and spray with hair spray to keep in the wave. Then you will look like you came from the beach.
WOW.. my mother is watchn ur videos gttn ideas and whilst she in the Kitchen i had to sign i and say, UR BEAUTIFUL... hav a nice life coz ur a breathtaking woman... wow hahahhahaa im happy 4 the whole day now, godb less Peace

Your hair is always so beautiful! Thank you for sharing your life with us! You are blessed sis! :) I tried these knots! LOL! They didn't come out right but still cute.... My hair takes SOOOO long to dry so I think I'll have to try dry twisting.... Man! I did these at 4pm yesterday and they STILL weren't dry this morning @ 8am!
You have beautiful hair!!! I am transitioning and I tried the bantu knots but my hair keeps unravelling when i try to place it in a knot on top. any suggestions/tips?
I am so excited and I cant wait to do my hair and it is really easy I may be bale to do this without getting someone to do the back for me question do I need to blow dry my hair and straigten it out first or just wash it then do the style
I absolutely love all your videos. Being 16 and transitioning to natural hair and trying to cover up the two textures is hard with people who are literally out to put you down. So your style tips have had a major impact on my life. Thank you.
@houstonsexii i feel the same way and im 22! i wear weave all the time soo much that people call me weave queen due to my long weaves and wigs but they dont know im NAPPY under it, lol... im gonna do this tonight aand wear my real HAIR :-)

Love your videos...you have such a great spirit! I can't seem to get my bantu knots to stay in...so i started to clip them and use bobby pins but then they came out wavy but not exactly curly and some were flat all together. I waited until my press fell and my hair is natural...any suggetions?
im just getting started. my last relaxer was about 1 1/2 months ago. so i still have a long way to go to get where i want to be.i wanted to know could i use the bantu knots to start out with a wavy look?
i did try the bantu knots and while i didn't get a wavy look it still had a beautiful outcome. it cam out in this super curly head of hair. it was very easy to maintain as long as i did it every night. thanks alot!!

I have natural hair as well. When you did this it seems like u blow-dried it out, but I'm not sure. Did you blow-dry it first? I want to try this, but I don't want to blow dry my hair first. I do twist-outs now by just twisting and letting it air dry overnight.
