Two great players: but Eric just got schooled in latin rock... it's not always as easy as it feels. To Eric's credit, by five mns in he was groovin and burning with the band. ...with a few exceptions Santana and Al DiMeola still pretty much "own" the latin rock genre though.

That said, Carlos can't even touch Eric in straight-on blues... Santana's blues album effort with the Fabulous Thunderbirds (Havana Moon) was a sad trainwreck. Eric would have certainly made that album worth a listen.
