The danger is transmission to Pigs to humans, like Influenza another RNA virus it could undergo genetic recombination within pigs and become more virulent, perhaps become airborne who knows. Yes Reston strains have a 0% mortality in humans but then it only takes that one mutation or recombination event to change that.

Reston ebola does not harm humans only the other strains do.

Ebola virus is carried in many animals. Mainly bats. It does not harm them but can harm humans. Basically DO not eat the blood of any animal.

According to "The Hot Zone" by Richard Preston, there was a connection between Phillipine Primate Research facilities and the monkeys in the Virginia facility that were infected with the Reston strain? Now it's been found there? Good thing that the Reston strain only affects monkeys, and now pigs I see. Had that been Ebola Zaire, the Phillipenes would be dead by now, and the US, upon recieving it from the islands, would be experiencing a second, modern, and far more greusome, Black Death.

no, ebola is not a flu. the virus only mutates from liquid to blood but is not airbourne. thats the only way it can be transmitted. and yes it is a virus.
