I really Really hate to say it but HPI Makes better Trucks even myself own a rustler vxl it always breaks and i have more maintenance for my rustler than i did for my old t-maxx 3.3. HPI Already come with 8 Big bore shocks and lots of metal parts. My buddy had one and that thing could never break and maintenance was a breeze. Never looking back at traxxas.. sorry

i hate traxxas i through my truck of the roof onto the road it was really worth it i will never buy one again :(

had same prob with mine. took the remote control apart, (easy, only a few screws) then if you look for whats called a variable resistor (a round thing on the circuit board opposite the wheel on remote) you will have to carefully prise three little metal tags back and remove a brush plate. clean up contacts and plate, re-insert and bend tags back into position. it worked for me. all the best.
