This is one of my favorite Foley promos ever. It brings up one of the great promo lessons Mick credits to Michael Hayes about the key to an effective heel promo being for the heel to feel completetly justified in his actions. I love the comparison of the "boyhood dream" concept and how the WWF painted Michaels one way and Mick the other. This is the kind of thing that is missing from wrestling today.

Greatest piece of character development in wrestling history. This is why Mick Foley is a true hall of famer. Could have Scott Hall, Triple H, John Cena or, most of all, Kevin Nash been as succesful based on their own abilities alone. Mick Foley is amazing. He always seems so unassuming. Even following him for a decade or more, you never watch him and think 'this dude is about to give one of the best interviews/promos in the business.' He's just a normal guy, but with this quiet charisma.

Wrestling gimmicks are over the top. Everyone knows it's fake, and the characters are usually 'fake.' But whereas Abyss just comes off as a retard, Mankind could make you believe, even if only for a minute or two, that he was legit crazy.
