Well I hate the ending.....a subjective feeling..... in the hetero "Pretty Woman" nothing really bad ever happens to those tarts but homosexuals always have to be beaten, abused and die. The violence might be justified if an attempt to send a message to young kids but I think more it pleases people in the USA to see it this way. The other problem with the ending is that it is really Donner's fault indirectly. He changed certain events. A good film And Arquette is excellent as all are. Thank You

Just once....just once I would like to see a gay themed movie that does not end in tragedy!!!!!! I still have never watched Brokeback Mt. for that very reason. There are positive things about gay life!!! Uugh!!!

Interesting movie although I was somewhat lost as to what arquette's charater's true intention was in the movie. Did he want to experience life outside his own everyday existence or did he really have a dream to become someone...beats me. Sad ending it was. David Arquette sure was handsome back then....

i love these actors. it was cool to see dr.cox at the beggining! and to all those ppl who are emo about sad endings, life doesnt always have a happy ending. its more realistic and it was the writer's artistic choice to make a sad ending. respect it.

This ending is SOOOO used up! It was old in the "80's...the writer taht uses this kind of cheap,easy ending should "burn in hell...in fact...anyone that uses this kind of cheap,easy ending to a gay story ever again should burn in Hell! Come on folks, aren't we a little farther along than the 50's self hating fag and the tragic ending? The actors deserved a better ending!!!!

I never knew that David Arquette could do roles like this, since it always seems he's doing his quirky funny types, but this film really makes me appreciate him, more than ever, his abilities as an actor. I was quite moved... I wish he did more of this.
