  • my pony is a standard bred pedigree shetland gelding and he looks nothing like these he is almost twice the size, but then again hes a pedigree so he isnt mixed with anything. These obviously are the ones that have been mixed with shetland and such types, very cute!

  • Actually, Standard Shetlands are "American" type and most have been mixed with UK blood, Welsh blood, etc. These are purebred, pedigreed UK Shetlands, originally used in coal mines in the UK and US. In some parts of the UK they can still be found wild. The average UK Shetland is a draft type pony and rarely exceeds 42" high.

  • are you sure they arnt miniature shetlands? i own a standard and they arent as nice as uv put them in yours bt its typical of the mini's lol!

  • They are not miniature, but UK type Shetlands.
