please can someone respond to me im new at makeing music i just got a shurekm27 usb micophone in i got a window 7 labtop i plus the micophone in to it in i cant hear my voice i only hear the computer speaker in not me so please can some one help me
How is any of that stolen when most of it is low cost. The only thing worth anything is the motif and Triton and that only depends if its new. The beringer, turntable, mbox, krks, they're peanuts. Anyone can get that from saving. People just want to be hateful, i guess. Smh.
@Bak3dB3an Some are, some are not. Depends on the model. To make things more confusing, some audio interfaces include mixers, although usually in the digital domain (you plug the interface into your PC+get on-screen control of the channels).
You don't need a phono preanp if you buy RCA to 1/4 adapters. Just plug the left into channel one and the right into channel 2. Channels 1 and 2 on that mixer have a gain knob so you wont the preamp anymore.
this is very helpful guide thanks for sharing.. I have the same equipment but with different brands. For instance I have the yamaha mox8 as midi controller and sintheziser, the akai mpd26, the kurzweil micropiano, a mackie mixer and the m-audio fast track pro
doo u really need a sound card?? whats the point to having one? what would be bad about not having one. i work with a mac book pro and i just plug in my ihome speakers with a mini amp.. what would ii need??
@MKVILLAIN You need a sound card for better quality audio recording for one. And you also need it for lowering latency whil recording and with the drivers that come with a soundcard like the fast track. It reduces latency issue's when using a midi keyboard as well. If you have a hardware synth you can also stream the audio from it into your daw as an audio track.
nice audio card mate i got the same one behringer u control uca 202 plugged into a sterio system the only thing is im using a laptop so it shitter than a home pc moneys the problem
you told me exactly what i needed to know. Very cool video. I like the way you went into detail about the make and model of the devices and the cables and how they connected to the equipment. very nice..dog.
I know this video is old!!! But if your reading this comment, I wanna know if the Behringer mixer is capable to get samples from the Internet. Cause I know somebody that has an Mackie 1202 VLZ_3 Mixer & that's how he's getting he samples without an turntable.
@Raydensheraj No its Correct and it has to be in a perfect trianble read up on it. Type Speaker Setup Studio in google and select images you will see lots and lots of examples and how the soundwaves work with speakers that are upright and laying on their sides which is totally incorrect.
Yo man, I need Help! , how to track into protools from mpc using audio not midi, ive seen the tutorials for midi but im using the mbox mini L/R/ Mono out and I dont know how to go from there. I have audio out going into mixer and then audio out going into mbox. PLEASE someone help me, thank you
@315AVALOS They are either KRK VXT or the RP series. They're not too bad, you can do a lot worse than a pair of KRKs, although when I mix on them at a friends studio, I end up mixing a little less bass in than is necessary for a balanced mix - just my experience though.
yo homie can u help me out I got windows 7 and a mbox2 . rokit5 monitors but cant get sound out of em how do i get my comp to recognize m box as my main sound outlet
Holy shit... you are younger than me, and I don't understand a word you are saying. I meant... this is total new stuff to me and god I am lost. You really know your stuffs. I wish I could understand. But nice set up
hey im new to this please help, how do i connect the moniotros to the interface? there are options jack to jack xlr to xlr or xlr from the monitor jack to the interface or jack from the monitor xlr to the interface ?!?!?!?!?!?! please help
@keybox8 depending on the interface, my mbox 2 has a set of quarter inch outs which are labled monitor outs so look for those, if i were you id use a TRS quarter inch to XLR for your monitors for the truest, cleanest sound but there should be a monitor out on the interface somewhere on the back
dont need any of that rubbish,.. what you need is YAMAHA audiogram3 soundcard a small mixer hook it all up and use nuendo 4-5 what ever u like for recording its so perfect and the sound quality is clear! device runs on USB
Wow,someone who knows what he's talking about alot of kids spend $1000 on equipment but can't tell the difference between mono and stereo let alone properly hook up the cords.
That mixing board looks packed you should move up to the behringer 1004 or 1204.Most dj's don't know their stuff, although i don't like the type of music that you create good job i'm impressed.
probs on the vid.....if you wanna buy multi-platinum beats from a label producer.... mixed in a high quality studio for ONLY $250 email. officialeastcoastbeats@gmail.com
@26ZS if you have a sound card that's in your computer...than you'll need a mixer for your inputs...but if you an audio interface (an external soundcard with inputs like an mbox) than you don't need a mixer. A mixer allows you to have lots of inputs (mpc, fantom etc) depending on the amount of channels it has.
thats toomuch cinfusion aha i just a midi to usb cable for my midi and fl studio.works great people.but i would suggest the sound card but for me a mixer is optional unless you wana be real serious
radddd setup man, what kinda monitors are they? KRK Rockit 5's, 6's, or 8's? i know its one of them, they sound powerful, i wanna get them, thanks ahead of time!
that was the most well thought out video, i t made complete sense even tho im advanced lol
but yeah, i had that same mixer and sound card for my (DJ) setup. i cant believe i gave it up for a pos numark usb DJ mixer and now i cant really make music now, oh well.
but yeah, Behringer is definitely the best for your money!
I've seen lots of young producer videos showing off their setups and the majority of them that have awesome gear usually produce utter shite... but thats not the case here. I will say though that there is always room for improvement :)
Some nice gear bro, you know your stuff. One thing I would say is, get some acoustic foam pads to go under your speakers, that will seperate them (acoustically) from the hard surface of your desk. Also, it looks like you got the monitors pointing inwards, but make sure the 2 monitors are of equal distance from eachother. That distance should also be the same from each speaker to your head (like an equilateral triangle!) ! You'll hear stuff a lot better! Like this:
love your setup man - can you tell me what desk you are using for your computer monitor and keyboards? also, does the master keyboard/synth also sit on this desk or is it on a stand? What chair do you use that makes the height perfect for you?
one question when i use the mpc as a master and triton as slave. i put the triton in seq mode, sound from triton sound dry whit no effects.. not like it sounds in prog mode? how do you make that work? thanx
@mcivic you can click on the top right button on the triton in sequence mode and hit copy from program and itll copy the patch that you have selected in program mode
but you can only import the effects from one sound.....if you try to do another sound, itll overwrite the effects of the first one....so i mean you can manually do the settings yourself, have a reverb loaded into the master fx, maybe a delay on the second one...a compressor on the insert effect....etc....
where do you connect it to the mixer and how do yo ger energyxt2.5 to recognise it t5rough that behringer audio interface please im a beginer like propeeeeeer
i got a question bro i have the fast track m-audio MK2 interface usb with a phantom powered mic plugged into the interface i wanna know what i could buy to make my sound quality alot better than it is what would you recommend i should get people say hook an mbox up to the interface but what you think?
yo dawg, you got some sweet kit, but the mixer and the monitors seem a little under par with he rest of your gear. Ive been building my rig since 2004. Check the "My Home Studio" vid on my page.
@eloman101 well i use logic , n there is a software mixer inside the program , but you need a mixer to hookup all the audio. its not necessarily jus tweakn sounds , but MIXING different signals into ur comp . get it ? well you dont need a mixer if your like a small based recording group. just get a good audio interface like a duet , or firebox that has the right amount of ins/outs xlr . everything
I have a question . Im using 2 keyboards live to trigger my fantom XR rack. I have a merge box for the 2 keyboards so i can use both on the fantom.
Everything works fine but sometimes the bottom keyboard will drift out of tune and I have to restart the controller . What causes this? It seems to happen when I hit the mod wheel> anybody know ?
i currently use garage band & with a m-audio oxygen 49 keyboard through a macbook. I want to upgrade my set up to a more professional sounding type of style. I'm planning on recording guitar bass vocals & I also want to make beats.
im currently waitng for the new macbook pro 2010 to come out to upgrade my gear but i have a question whats better for recording a laptop or deskot and why? also what would be a good drum machine for making beats & what recording software should i use
u dont need a mixer, but it is highly recommended, like very highly. u might not need it to run pro tools, but for tracks, it well helps more then ever.
@stevenm2009 AHHAAH EY BREH , GOOD VIDEO. FUNNY THING IS I GOT A UCA202 & A BEHRINGER XENYX802 MIXER. ITLL BE SO MUCH APPRECIATED IF YOU MAKE A VIDEO EXPLAINING THE MIXER AND UCA202 . IM SUBSCRIBING TOO !
Now this made sense... perfect video homy, you just taught real quick about how the signal travels. What's the purpose for the mixer, extra inputs? Does it affect the sound in any way since you can control the volume/pan and extra ish on the mixer (or can you?)? Holla back, 1!
please can someone respond to me im new at makeing music i just got a shurekm27 usb micophone in i got a window 7 labtop i plus the micophone in to it in i cant hear my voice i only hear the computer speaker in not me so please can some one help me

yo dawg, you got some sweet kit, but the mixer and the monitors seem a little under par with he rest of your gear. Ive been building my rig since 2004. Check the "My Home Studio" vid on my page.

Do i actually need to buy a mixer? cuz a lot of programs like Logic pro or Reason have their own mixer in them.
eloman101 1 year ago

I'm planning on recording guitar bass vocals & I also want to make beats.
im currently waitng for the new macbook pro 2010 to come out to upgrade my gear but i have a question whats better for recording a laptop or deskot and why? also what would be a good drum machine for making beats & what recording software should i use
thanks

Now this made sense... perfect video homy, you just taught real quick about how the signal travels. What's the purpose for the mixer, extra inputs? Does it affect the sound in any way since you can control the volume/pan and extra ish on the mixer (or can you?)? Holla back, 1!
