  • that was actually brilliant, what grade did you get for it?

  • Your mums a scientific marble :p

  • Thank god Sony was smart enough to use computer anymation

  • Is this OCR A/S?

  • good job :)

  • Hello out of interest what exam board were you when you did this. I am doing A level physics now AQA and we have to do an ISA instead of Courswork, however there is a materials and elasitcity section of our course where we learned about Hookes Law, Elasticity Limits and the Young Modulus.

  • i must say thanks a lot

this is going to prove very helpfull

i'm doing bouncy balls for my coursework lol

    nice vid :)

  • LOL i like how at 1:08 the frog just lauches himself. He's like WTH is going on here!!!!!

  • very impressive, im an a level student and im currently studying maths statistics, chemistry and biology im tinkin of pikin up physics next, any tips? Oh and wot grade did u get for ur physics c/w? its very good well done on it m8

  • nice vid, perhaps could have mentioned coefficient of restitution, explaining exactly how much energy it retains once collided with the floor. none the less its good. i did bronze alloys in cymbals...it was....ok i guess...

  • where did u get that green bouncy ball that bounces reaally good

  • i love physics! Though i still dont understand physics at the Alevel standard, i am currently preparing for my o levels. Informative video by the way. The frog's random, but it adds a nice touch to it.

  • o-levels? they dont exist do they?

  • nah, there called GCSEs now. A level physics is great tho, but revision is a pain in the ass.

  • ypu. got my exam on wednesday the revision suuucks :(

  • *yawn*

  • Yawn your face.

Nah I'm only kidding, why did it bore you so?

  • what year was this, and is this an applied physics course?

  • lol the frog 1:10

  • not too sound noisy or anything what was your overall grade i did my as level phsyics got e but i am retaking in December so hopefully get it up to grade b

  • I have also chosen to do A Level physics, It sounds really interesting, god i hope i get the grades i need in my gcse results. Great video!

  • dude...you just added 25 yards to my drives! my golf buddy uses a TITLEIST with a poly core and he consistantly outhit me last year. Now I can make the switch and keep up with him knowing more thanks to your vid!!

  • i hav 2 exams in 2 days, all a-level physics, 2moro i have a 2.5 hr ICT exam, had another physics practical exam yesterday. (i swear im gonna die from exams)

  • i mean in 00:44 are u sure 20min? :P it would be longer right?

  • i mean in 00:44 are u sure 20min? :P it would be longer right?

  • i mean in 00:44 are u sure 20min? :P it would be longer right?

  • nice work...And how long time did it take to pick up all balls?:P

  • About 15 to 20 minutes per throw, and I did 5 throw.

  • Very good. its just like the advert..

    Anyways.. cya

  • Nice work. You could've been a bit more chiry, mind!

  • Yeah, I did the voice over at 11pm the night before it had to be handed in, hence it sounding groggy and none too positive.

  • oh balls my computer froze so i kept mashing post comment sorry

  • haha scientific marble, i go to this school woo and i like physics but its friday and my brains dont work so well so i couldn't be bothered to rewind it but i will because i am intregued

  • cool.

if you dont mind asking, what grade did you get for this?

where did you get the molecule models?

entertaining, educational thanks for putting this on here.

This will help for when I come to do coursework next year.

    I like the ending.

  • oh sorry, an A, congratulations.

  • but then again.. watching it over again and listening to everything i take it back.. some of teh stuff i knew .. but i like it alot lol

  • u did this in a level:s most of this stuff ur telling us is stuff we learn in gcse... saying most .. i actually mean most...

  • Forget what any haters say. I liked it :) Check out my A Level media trailer please sum comments would be appreciated :) Nice work tho.

  • geeeeeeeeeeeeks

  • Wow thats so neat! Im just working on a lab about bouncy balls right now. Lol how much did all those bouncy balls cost??

  • wow!! what grade did you get?

  • I got an A for this.

  • good on ya ;)

  • woah. A level coursework. in singapore for A lvl physics all we had to do were practical and exams.

  • imagine walking up the stairs when he dumped the bucket out....... pfff! fuck!....pfff ow!....... pfff! jesus christ!!

  • we never had to do anything like this for a level coursework

  • brilliant!

I'll use this when I introduce my Y13s to investigations :>)

  • The clamp cut into the ball. I think it would've lasted longer if it was compressed by an even surface

  • Yeah I saw that when I slowed down the video. I was thinking about doing it again in between 2 larger metal plates, but I'd need a bigger more stable clamp.

  • must of sucked picking all that shit up.

  • you stole some of the footage from that tv

    commercial

  • Yeah I couldn't be bothered to buy a frog and train it to jump out of a drainpipe on cue, so I swiped that bit from sony. Shhhh! Don't tell them!

  • yeaaa but other people don't know that so im just letting them know that it's not your frog....lol

  • why don't I get any physics coursework? Thats really cool!

  • because you're a girl, girls dont do physics, they do biology and shit like that, you know, flowers and cute bunny rabbits and shit

  • What the heck is A level. Which country u study in

  • I'm from England. An A Level is an exam you do in either 3 or 4 subjects between the ages of 16 and 18.

  • a levels are in england mate lol

  • kwl nice way to do it :)

  • wot did you do with all the bouncy balls afterwards?

did like people just steal em ?

  • I lost about 30, that then got found by kids at school. I sold about 500, and then gave away the rest at my school open day in the physics department.

  • A rather interesting video. I liked the Bravia reference.

@ tonyrosam: The song is called Heartbeats and is by José González (I hope i spelled that right!)

  • "bury me in my money"

  • I want to die, lying naked in a pool of melted chocolate and have 600 cascading bouncy balls consume me!! *tear* beautiful!! lol ha ha!

  • funny!

  • That was a cool vid! Did you get a good grade? :)

It's too bad that you couldn't get the liquid nitrogen. That would have been sick.

  • I got an A for it.

  • what is the name of the song that plays when the balls are bouncing from the steps in the beggining of video? your a real cool dude!

  • hrmm 600 balls atleast 25c each THAts 150 BUCKS!

  • Actually I bought them all for £20.

  • The ball didn't break when dropped from a crane because it probably reached terminal velocity before it hits the ground, and that velocity is not high enough: the ball easily absorbed the kinetic energy transferred over the time period which it is squashed as it comes to contact with the ground. To break it, you either need to deliver much higher power, or you cool it sufficiently that it loses its elasticity.

  • Yeah, I was planning to get hold of some liquid nitrogen but for some reason none of the cryonics labs I emailed took me seriously. Cynical white coated spoil sports.

  • all i got to do for phys coursework was melt some wire :(

  • well done 5*

  • thats wicked man

  • nice video mate, well explained.
