R.I.P. Brad...I understand about the lonely soul piece though. I think many people either feel that way, or have felt that way at different times in their lives. Some of us just aren't afraid of admitting that hard part!
@Metroidfreak1 Sorry to hear that dude. Take your time because you'll find the love of your life that will actually love you back ten-fold. As Important as the one that recently split, she will become a distant memory. I know it's difficult but you'll be happier in the end. Hang in there and believe.
@FastPonyGT Yea break ups happen. Thats how life works. But I know she still loved me though when we were together, I had an amazing time with her and now Im learning what to do better and in the end this break up needed to happen for both of us because itll make us stronger people and I hope she finds someone thats right for her and same goes for me.
I've been following Boston since their first album - Boston. Yes I'm that age!
Boston is and remains one of this best rock groups, with super morals. Corporate America was ruined big that VERY bad woman singer (who cares who it is).
As for this song, it breaks my heart every time I here it - the words are so true for so many.....
@miclabelle If Boston hadn't have had all that internal squabbling and stuff, I reckon they'd have been as big as LZ were. I emailed Scholz once and told him this. He replied in his typical arrogant manner and stated "I thought we were still toegther". What a twat.
brad delp was the life and party of boston, without him this band would not be what it is today. if brad delp was still with this #1 material group everyone would be talking about boston this and boston that instead of justin bieber or lady gaga. thumbs up if boston has opened your life up to classic rock or if this song makes you want to cry
I bought this album when it first came out and I still have it today. I think I paid about $ 7.OO or $ 8.OO for it. I wouldn't sell it for a million bucks.
@shredder1965 Yes! I think that commerical advertisements are just as obnoxious as communist propaganda. They are filthy lies by people who have no problem prostituting their very souls.
@tallbillyboy From an empirical point of view souls are not real because no measurable phenomenon can be attributed to them. But as you continue to experience the reality of your own existence you will find much that cannot be explained by reductionistic thinking. Your brain and body creates and "emergent phenomenon" of consciousness and feeling that you are aware of and that is beyond scientific explanation
@tallbillyboy Joseph Campbell said that what we call soul is a purely transcendent entity - a source beyond our ability ot perceive. This view is consistent with Hindu and Buddhist conceptions of the human soul. Words are a poor metaphor for such abstract ideas.

I agree with cobohall 1975 about the great guitar work at 3:35+ on "A man I'll Never Be".
