  • Having been interested in cars and motorsports for years, I've acquired an interest in motorbikes and motorbike racing over the last year or two. I'm particularly intrigued with the machines from the "Continental Circus" era and it's great to see an old Manx still running around. On watching this video I don't think there has been as much a point in my life as now that I wish I could drive a motorbike (as a driver and cyclist I reckon it's one for the near-future).

  • As a self employed machinist for 30 years, I don;t think it likely that I will ever be able to afford a G50 or Manx Norton. Track days would be good for sure, but a license plate ,taped to the rear fender, would make sure that no one in my neighboorhood might be tardy waking up!!!!! But unless I hit a megamillion jackpot, the neighboors will have to rely on there alarm clocks. God Bless all you running these jewels. William

  • best vid Ive watched dude..and on my fave bike...pure magic mate go hard!

  • oh and I race lots of bikes, modern 600's/250's, classic bikes, post classic bikes. Not much Vintage, Richard Vellocette MSS being the oldest. Ta M

  • continued...

Tyres are Avon's, the only rubber of choice for a classic bike, ain't that right Steve S!

Lastly I think from memory the average speed was about 85mph+

Most of all though, thanks for the commments I enjoyed making the vid!!!!!

  • to answer some of the questions:-

yes that is a mega wheelie early on!

It was a friends camera and I can't remember, race logic I think.

That bike ended up being British Champion at the end of the year and a credit to Richard Adams, however check out my other videos from the year, it's even better now.

  • what would you say your average speed is? Stunning riding! do you do vintage races?

  • must have had some good tires too. great riding.

  • Absolutely excellent video. That bike is pulling like a train!! Not a single "fluff' from the engine all the way 'round. Not too shabby a performance for an elderly "single' at all. Nice bit of riding into the bargain. Brilliant all the way 'round!

  • proper motorbike, no jap plastic fantastic garbage, lets see yer R1/ZX10/Fireplace/Gixer in nigh on 50 years time! No feckin' chance!!

  • This shows what a good piece of kit a manx Norton will always be.

  • May you never run out of traction, cornering clearance, or enthusiasm.
