Yeah I just fixed up dome old mini bajas but to get them running we had to clean out the carborater , exhaust, and make sure we had spark and good gas.

Not bad. I start mine on one pull in 50F. These engines are weird though, unlike most engines, even when they are warmed up and ran a little bit, they will not start up without choke after a fast shutoff

i have a mini baja also, but for some reason it wont start, it turns over the head lights turn on with each pull, but nothing, doens't fire up or stay running, I've taken all the fluids out and put new fluids in and I'm running out of idea's, i was hoping maybe you would have some advice for me? I'm unsure of the year, but I think it's an 08 or an 09

I got one, cut the throttle limitor on the engine, its goes a lil faster and it backfires loud man! when you let off the gas lol. it might not go fast but it rips in the trails. So much power.

only choke it when you start it. because when you choke only a little gas and alittle air go into the motor when the choke is open you get full air and gas. just listen to the motor.

i dont, when you keep the choke on while riding your cutting off the airflow to through the carb its pretty much a valve if youve ever taken off your carb filter and turned on and off the choke, you'll see what i mean

but i have the same one and i get it up to 45 because i both drilled about 6 holes in the plastic exaust pannel and it helped it breath much more efficently...and i cut the throttle stopper down on the engine and that made it go about 15-20 mph faster and thats no joke i'll be putting a video on very soon and prove it lol

I'm currently waiting on a new ignition coil, I've got no spark... and when it did run it sounded like it wasn't timed properly... So hopefully this will fix it. I've had the bike for 4 years, and Baja Motorsports STILL sells them and the parts; they're excellent bikes.

i like these bikes there more safe than other bikes the knobby tires give you better handling on loose dirt.

I bought a atv from the same company and it would not start when i wanted it to and the bolts and nuts on it were all not secure!

All you need is a Torque-A-Verter drive system. With one of these you will do 50mph and blow that Bringgs and Stratton engine out of the water!

I've had that bike for two years now, I got it in the Christmas of 2005. It's a good bike, I still ride it to this day, it sound a lot louder though in real life and it was a more manly sound then what it sounded like in the video.

Yikes, good point lol... It was more like 3 weeks; it's because I was working alot and school takes up alot of time. University readings take hours! Although, after a long exam, nothing beats a quick spin on the Baja!

Its easier to mount the Tav if you use the back plate that comes with the bike. It doesn't seal as well but you don't have to do any mods. Just have to remove the stock jackshaft and install the one that comes with the tav.

the one i have is the same as his and how fast does your sons go kart go cuz you could probably pass that damn kart with this bike it has alot of torq without the torq a verter stock speed is like 42-48km/h but with torq a verter its about 80km/h the only problem with these bikess is that when you go fast like full throttle they start to shake alot so try not to go fast quite too often cuz the shakey ness of the bike might throw your hands off the handlebars

Installing the Torque-A-Verter was somewhat difficult. My uncle, who is a small engine mechanic, helped me put it on. There was a lot of grinding and modifying involved so that everything fit perfectly. The back plate kept getting in the way of the bike's frame so grinding was required. Other then that, it's pretty straight forward.

Since I live in Canada I bought it at Canadian Tire, we don't have Pep Boys here. I paid 599.99$ Canadian for the bike itself. To add the Comet clutch, it was an additional 250.00$ for the unit and for the shipping to Canada. I saw prices online from Pep Boys for Baja products and it's a lot cheaper in the US.

I use Quaker State Peak Performance 5W-30 or 10W-30 depending on the temperature. I added a Torque-A-Veter to my bike and it can also reach speeds of 80km/h (50mph). Not sure about you but, I wouldn't want to go any faster then 80km/h, because on the back roads, the knobby tires can pull to the side. And with only a rear drum brake, the bike doesn't stop on a dime. Although, it sure is fun doing these speeds full throttle because when people turn around, they see a little Mini Baja hauling ass!
