Als ich vor 2 Wochen am Ring war haben die versucht die Achterbahn zu starten... hat mit einem riesen Knall geendet.... so viel Geld für so einen rotz!!!!! Fuck of Beck!!!!

jeden kilometer dieser historischen rennstrecke liebe und genieße ich. die großmannssucht des geschäftsführers hat den ring und leider auch die dort lebenden lieben menschen in mißkredit gebracht. wie immer ziehen sich in diesem land die verantwortlichen aus der affäre und der `kleine mann` zahlt mal wieder die zeche! schade, das die bauruinen in zukunft auch wieder unser steuergeld kosten!! eine riesengroße sauerei !! ich übernachte weiterhin in den pensionen mit historischem flair!!

Luckely I understand German fine. These "high rollers" sure effed things up. Yes, the whole complex looks amazing, but it's just empty. Now they gonna use the one thing that always attracts people (Nordschleife) and use it like a whore to make back money on the other projects. The Ring in private hands. Who could have ever guessed. The story Part 4: Neither Nürburgring GmbH nor Rhineland-Palatinate wanted to believe that the complex financing concept offered by the Swiss had any flaws or could even be a fraud. When they finally realised the truth, the Finance Minister of Rhineland-Palatinate resigned. In total €330 million of taxpayer's money was burned in the project, with little success for the Park. The roller-coaster (€11m) never ran, the shopping mall and entertainment centre are pretty empty.

The story - Part 3: to include the "fastest roller-coaster in the world". A similar concept "Spacepark" in Bremen a few years back, went bankrupt very quickly. In early 2009 Rhineland-Palatinate still searched for private financing for the project which was due to open in July. A Swiss businessman offered financing too good to be true, told stories of investors from Dubai, the US and elsewhere, was delaying the whole transaction and asking for money in order to acquire more investment.

The story - Part 2: In 2007 development of the park was started, although financing was not ensured. In mid 2007 a company called MediInvest from Düsseldorf was announced as the private investor financing the project, but this company did not have the €94m required. In order to proceed with the project, public money (i.e. taxpayer's money) was transferred to MediInvest without public notice. "Nürburgring 2009" was planned as an Entertainment, Shopping and Business Park development.

The story - Part 1: The Nürburgring is owned by the Land Rhineland-Palatinate and is run by the Nürburgring Gmbh. Since 2004 the Nürburgring GmbH made substantial losses, mostly due to secondary businesses it started in previous years. In order to make more money they planed to build an Event, Leisure and Business Park at the Nordschleife, and were looking for private investors to finance it, as Rhineland-Palatinate could not finance it on its own. But for several years no investor was found.

From 2007 - 2009 the German government built a huge Leisure Park at the Nürburgring. It is based on fake visitor numbers, oversized and badly executed. Most of the time it is an empty ghost town. Once promised as private investment, it is now based on a debt of 350+ million EUR public money.

Instead of pulling the plug they rented the park - including both race tracks - to exactly the same privateers (Kai Richter, Jörg Lindner), who were driving forces behind the Leisure Park's initial private setup.

Without Racing experience they are since experimenting with events completely unrelated to Motorsport (German Volksmusik for example, another one here) - all under the iconic "Nürburgring" brand name.

Es wird wiedermal gezeigt was die Politiker im Stande sind zumachen bzw. zu zerstören. Die sitzen mit den Managern bzw. großen Firmen unter einer Decke und schaufeln sich das Geld der Bürger ein. 330 Mio. Euro hat alles gekostet und wo ist das Geld hin ? In den Taschen der Leute die damit zu tun hatten. Es ist wirklich eine Schande das die Leute nicht einmal Respekt vor der bekanntesten Rennstrecke der Welt haben.

wirklich eine Schande was die aus dem Ring machen.

Wer schon selber da war, weiß das dass Ring Boulevard völlig unnütz ist, zumal da wirklich nichts los ist außer bei(m) (24h, VLN, F1, DTM), das selbe gilt auch für den RingRacer. Hoffentlich findet sich da wer und der Ring & die NOS bleiben lange lange erhalten.

Just a short summary: Once upon a time there was a famous race track owned by the German state Rheinland Pfalz. Prime minister was Beck, financial minister was Deubel. As Schumania was going down the business went down, too, at the race track. Of course there was no business at all in the cold season of the year. So the plan was make the Ring more attractive. The politicians installed Kaffitz as head of the Ring Ltd.

They were planning to go big with some all season entertainment stuff and so on. Looking for an investor they found Richter as an entertainment park inventor - not investor as he states, they must have missed that point! However the plans look nice with value of 94 mio €. Before of course some other mios had been spent on consultants and money greedy folks. So construction started in 2007. When politica discovered that there was no money behind Richter they supported him with some special

financial tricks. Tax payers money went through hidden channels to the Ring all managed by financial minister Deubel. When the buildings where finished (@18:30) the expected visitiors from 150miles away still stayed away. Nobody's traveling that far for that bullshit. Same with that SpacePark in Bremen earlier before. Oh wonder: the concept was from nearly the same managers! Early sceptism and critic from natives like Mrs. Schmitz and Mr. Kragl where kept down. Mr. Hahne is a famous and critical

So it go built and when finished still no private investor was found. Deubel was in contact with that Barandun (@24:20) a Swiss credit broker. He promised to find investors. The politicians believed in the miracle and even provided 180 mio € for unknown reasons to Swizz guy. He kept them waiting and showed up with some guy DuPont and 67mio €.

Politicians published "Everything solved, private investor found!". However there was no money. And DuPont ist not from the rich famous chemical dynasty but just a check blackleg. Dumb looking faces of dumb politicians @34:30. Who's gonna pay for up to now 330mio € for a non working roller coaster, an expensive shopping are and a non visited artificial village that no one wants? Everyone = the tax payer. At least prosecution department has startes investigations against Kaffitz, Richter and Deubel because of betrayal of confidence and/or beguilement.

Was ist, wenn die GmbH insolvent geht? F1 ist durch, was ist mit den 24h und der VLN? Außerdem fehlen die Touristenfahrer. Bei schönem Wetter sind genug Leute da, gibt es keine Attraktion oder hat man mit 10.000 Besuchern täglich gerechnet? Bei Rock am Ring kommen 80.000 Leuten, beim Oldtimer-Grand-Prix 30.000, den Ferrari von Lauda würde sich auch jemand anschauen, oder? Die Achterbahn fährt übrigens nicht weil 2x die Drucklufttanks explodiert sind und es noch keine neue Freigabe gibt.
