Back around 1984-85 in Fort Lauderdale, we were all scrambling around trying to find a place for you guys to play (last minute changes). You wound up playing in a garage in Fort Lauderdale. The police were called. Do u guys remember that by any chance? You are right, the scene in S.Fl. was great back then. I have since moved on, but those were some great times!
We played the Cameo in 85-86 in the North Florida invasion show, what a great place to play!!!! I remember we accidently backed over a parking meter in our van leaving the Cameo...Gas money back to Orlando. It was less than $0.90 a gallon back then
@PaulVazo73 Miami had some good band's but As far as the east coast goes West Palm had much more of a scene and more small venue places to play like back when you're talking called The Pit off Congress ave.Tampa where I'm from and Orlando was where your great metal and progressive metal was coming from back then. The east coast is too fuckin foreign and into that jiggy jive ass hiphop garbage.Miami has been ate up with latin America and Haitian shit for a long time and fuck that shithole!!!!!!!!
I lived in Miami in 93-94 and there was no scene at all. I met some skins here and there but there were no shows to go or places to hang out. I doubt it is any better now.
no actually he was 15, like I was. He was rather big back then, so he did it. How do I know this? I used to go to school with him @ Ponce De Leon Junior High School, Miami Florida.
i'm from miami, and went to see many shows at the cameo theater in miami beach. my first show there was D.R.I. in 1986. agnostic front played a few times at the cameo, but this show happened at the lincoln theater if my flyer is correct. i missed this show, and i regret it. on the subject of violence; yeah, lots of nazi skins in that era, fights and shit. 'bad rep skins' gang. also, did you know that ami james (miam ink fame) was one of the fuckheads doing security there? i saw it.
This WAS at the Lincoln Theater. There wasn't any Nazi's because Bad Rep and Old Breed Skinheads beat their asses anytime they showed their faces. Did other people get beat up HELL YES! We were a bunch of teenagers for christ's sake! But, we didn't have a bunch of nazis marching around passing out the hate!
