Nah if you jump into the firepit where you kill your block twice the next lvl there should be a block. I saw a video about it. You have to manually run out of the building all the way down the shafts until you get to the cake. there is a portal there which leads to outside.

a. RedOctane and Harmonix made GH2, and when GH3 came along, Harmonix wasn't in the credits, instead they made rock band.

The cake is a lie. Whats confusing people is that at the end of the game there is a short clip of a cake. But it can't be right because the weighted companion cube was there but it had been destroyed. The clip was most likely purely for comedic effect.
