This story was awesomely bad. However, it did have a "good idea" in there. You have The dungeon of doom, who Luger was loosely associated with. You had Hogan and Savage as best friends. Sting loosely associated with them, but Luger and sting are best friends. So that part was actually pretty neat. Other than that it was some crazy fuckin shit.
At one point Heenan said, "You'll never see a PPV like this again." I hope not. lol. At least the nWo came around in the next 6-7 months after this catastrophe.
@spinemelter2000 yea, the greatest announce team ever was Schivone, Heenan, and Rhodes. Schivone was the straight man, Heenan made fun of Rhodes which was hilarious, and Rhodes gave you a "real" perspective if that makes sense and did a damn good job of getting of the psychology and story of a match (something only Matt Stryker does now, Cole knows diddly shit and Lawler is a characacture of himself). It was even better when Tenay would jump in for the lucha/puro matches.

This story was awesomely bad. However, it did have a "good idea" in there. You have The dungeon of doom, who Luger was loosely associated with. You had Hogan and Savage as best friends. Sting loosely associated with them, but Luger and sting are best friends. So that part was actually pretty neat. Other than that it was some crazy fuckin shit.

Schivone and Heenan were always completing each other sentences. You don't see that kind of synergy with today's wrestling announcers.

@spinemelter2000 yea, the greatest announce team ever was Schivone, Heenan, and Rhodes. Schivone was the straight man, Heenan made fun of Rhodes which was hilarious, and Rhodes gave you a "real" perspective if that makes sense and did a damn good job of getting of the psychology and story of a match (something only Matt Stryker does now, Cole knows diddly shit and Lawler is a characacture of himself). It was even better when Tenay would jump in for the lucha/puro matches.

@Mattmannish Monsoon is insanely overrated. I don't think schivone was great, I think he's underrated. i think that Heenan and Rhodes are as entertaining a commentary pair as ever. Schivone was the "straight man". I also think JRs orgasmic "BAH GAWD STONE COLD STONE COLD STONE COLD" shit is overrated too. He almost ruins it at the end of WMX7 coz he sounds like a tard.
