@tacoshitter I will give Crimson this, the Hellsing OVA is much better drawn, but the OVA doesn't hold a candle to the gonzo's soundtrack. The soundtrack in the gonzo is simply so good that I'm jizzing mah pants every time i hear one of the tracks.
The perfect Hellsing series would be the OVA with the music from the gonzo.

I think the OVA has alot better fights and violence, but they also use some cartoony scenes that really make it seem cheap and stupid. The original keeps its serious tone, but nearly too serious. @91286nemesis I'm assuming you have the first four in English, the English dub was, so you could say, pretty much canceled. But 7 OVA's are already out in subs / Japanese dubbing, very soon to be eight.

@91286nemesis It would be a miracle, but it's not worth dubbing if they don't have the same voice actors. So unless FUNimation gets the rights and keeps all the same voice actors, I probably wont watch it in English. If they change it, that'd be idiotic. Crispin, Talisen, Katie, Ralph, etc, etc, etc all of them are superb.

@91286nemesis True, and I have been waiting for a few years for the OVA to finally come back out in English.. to no avail. But that doesn't mean some time down the road it wont, so we can only hope. For now, I am totally satisfied with the Subs, so long as I get to watch it.

I agree with you there,but theres one problem. Its not a...well..realistic,see,in OVA the blood looks like blood. In this one blood looks like paint.Same with the speical effects,although i think Seras's outfit in this one looks much better.
