  • Marijuana is D(THE) ONLY MEDICINE, FUCK WHAT THE DOCTORS and everyone else says. #REALTALK!!

    GOOGLE or AMAZON

"JOAN BELLO's Book "Benefits of marijuana Physical, Psychological and Spiritual"

  • Psychiatric diseases?

Psychiatric disorders are not medical diseases. There are no lab tests,MRIs brain scans, X-rays or chemical imbalance tests that can verify any mental disorder is a physical condition. This is not to say that people do not get depressed, or that people can’t experience emotional or mental duress, but psychiatry has repackaged these emotions and behaviors as “diseases” in order to sell drugs. This is a brilliant marketing campaign, but it is not science.

  • Alcohol literally poisons your body. There are no life-threatening side-effects of marijuana use. Comparing it to alcohol is ridiculous.. I can tell you first-hand that prescription medications had the WORST effect on me. I was prescribed concerta because I have ADD as well, and prescription stimulants only make the mania and depression cycles WORSE. Doctors cannot continue ignoring patients! Marijuana is safe and effective for Bipolar II.

  • oh yes of course the natural alternative which the drug companies cant generate profit from are bad......

  • There are no documented deaths related to marijuana use

  • yes so right!!!!! feel so sad and even drink MORE... yesterday i had half bottle of whiskey... n today was my first time to see psychiatrist and i talked with him about what i thought... i was so unstable that whatever i couldn't imagine... i said possibly before coming, i thought i could be suffering from bipolar, then he asked me to do full check next time, but possibly i could be one of them.... somehow i felt better as he mentioned bipolar is not mental illness, is just mood disorder thing!!

  • There are no clinical tests for any of these mental "illnesses" they are all diagnosed based on behavioral traits, all collected in the DSM billing manual. Psychiatrists have absolutely no idea how these medications work, how they affect any given individual. You may as well play russian roulette with your mind. Psychiatric drugs are a joke. Psychiatry is a scam. Anti psychotics cause tardive dyskinesia, way more debilitating than bi polar!

    /watch?v=W_3bbpFjI68

  • "deal with the fact that drugs and alcohol are not making your better".... this is true... but doesnt that also mean that the drugs engineered to make people "normal" by changing the firing of neurotransmitters in their brain arnt making anyone better either? there are so many cases of suicides linked to SSRI's, is it really that far-fetched to assume that there was nothing wrong with these people to begin with? ALL drugs damage your brain, legal or illegal

  • I don't think she has expertise because her certainty is purely anecdotal.

  • Sorry lady, but I'm not gonna stop smoking weed.Without it,I'm sad.WIth the drugs the Dr. gave me, I was more depressed,so I won't take that crap anymore.Plus, it made me wanna die,so what woud u rtahe do? Duh! Smoke weed!

  • brought to you by your friendly pharmaceutical industry. why use natural substances when you can be addicted for life to our chemically engineered drugs with awful side effects to boot?! trust us, we know better and we need the money :))

  • i think her name is Moronica :))

  • look up nueroleptic withdrawl syndrome, These "safe drugs" for a fictional condition hurt me.

  • LOL! "Alcohol, it's a depressant... (It Makes Me Cry...)..." What A Dumbass!

  • this lady is dumb

  • whats her name

  • I dont know what kind of pot this woman smoked but there are very many people that will confidently say that pot does help you sleep. But one has to coin-cider as well that it is widely known that no drug effects everyone in the same way.

  • 3 cheers for the female CLOWN hip hip hyp - ocrite....... youve got to be joking

  • all she said was if you smoke pot n drink, you get sick, nothing confirming that pot or alcohol actually do anything to disrupt mental state.

  • @Go2Ask2Alice Thank you. I am sorry I got short with you. I am sure you are a compassionate person. I am a reluctant activist, really. I was a very selfish person for most of my life, and I try to help others now when I can, and talking about my experiences in psychiatry and abuse is one of those ways. Take care.

  • @Go2Ask2Alice You are not telling me something new or that I do not already know. Okay? I get it. If people like me didn't do activism, and raise consciousness and awareness of whatever we are activisting for, it would be a one-sided struggle or issue, don't you think? Someone had to sit down and activist the Declaration of Independence. Someone else had to draft a mental health patient's bill of rights, because without one, MH patients are prone to being abused! This is recorded history.

  • @Go2Ask2Alice What does this chat build or accomplish? Nothing! You shout at me, I shout back, we are both very passionate, and nothing of value is created. Only anger and resentment. I've been activisting for informed consent and patient's right to access accurate information since I experienced psychiatric abuse as a teenager, and fought and won against my own treatment team in court. I already know about how meds helps some people. What you are not hearing is that meds also damage people.

  • @Go2Ask2Alice its alternative medicine! It worked wonder for me.

Please, do not promote drugs proven to shrink brain cells. Seriously, ask your doctor if Tardive Dyskinesia, neuroleptic-induced diabetes, akathasia and pseudoParkinson's is right for your mental health issues.

  • @Go2Ask2Alice If you don't want people clicking on your youtube profile, delete it or make it private!

  • @Go2Ask2Alice You said Bye twice now! You are too emotionally unstable to follow through and stop posting like you said you would! More proof that you are an awful mental health worker. You can not even follow through on your action plan, what makes you think I think you are remotely qualified to even be near vulnerable patients? Mental health patients do not make good mental health workers, because they are too emotionally invested in pimping their favorite brand of mental health treatment.

  • @Go2Ask2Alice I don't believe you! You are 27 years old, and you sell Rxs to people from behind a counter. Come back and talk to me when you get your PhD in psychology, then maybe I'll actually take you seriously.

  • @Go2Ask2Alice now I am an idiot, right? You are so full of it! Who would ever want to come to you for help, when all you want to hear is group think and psychiatric echo chamber nonsense. You are not interested in listening to me, you already admitted you don't care about my experiences, only in about spreading your one-sided blissful pharmaganda. What have you published? Where is your blog? What was your thesis on? You have NO business being in mental health, none whatsoever!

  • @Go2Ask2Alice It says you are a pharmacy tech on your youtube profile, currently in school in a psych program.

You are no mental health "pro". Consider your bs, called.

  • @Go2Ask2Alice "Spread my negativity" Did you even bother to look at my blogs, my dotcom, the reviews on amazon of my book? Only someone who is completely brainwashed into the bioreductionist paradigm would so totally conflate "informed consent and education about the dangers and hazards of psych med use" with "spreading negativity". You are trying to censor and censure me, sister, and it is not going to happen! I was in the mental health system years before you even knew about it!

  • @Go2Ask2Alice Why do we have to be at war? Why does it have to be about winning or losing an argument, sister? Why are you so afraid to open up to and listen to and accept the lived life experience of someone who suffered terribly on psych toxins? You are afraid, because my experiences suffering, in mental and physical anguish on meds, rocks your boat of meds as the best treatment. You don't want to hear it! Some mental health ally you are. You are a blamer, a shamer, and an invalidator.

  • @Go2Ask2Alice If you don't want to argue with me, why did you even reply? Then you spammed four comments about what a pro expert you are, and then tried to close me out of a reply with "goodbye"? You are just like the pdocd and psych nurses I fought against when I was kid. You are already cut out in the perfect mold of a mental health patient and worker. Your colored-glasses prevent you from absorbing or listening to lived personal experiences that are counter to yours. You are so naive.

  • @Go2Ask2Alice I have a feeling you are woefully ignorant about reality of psychiatric drugs. You clearly think these toxins are the best thing going for people with severe mental illness. You are obviously intimidated by my challenge to your authority on the subject, Here, you have no real come back or argument against my position, at all! I've actually been on antipsychotics, I have experienced that "nerve clamping" effect of "neuroleptics". I've gone through the pseudo-Parkinson's, have you?

  • @Go2Ask2Alice You're welcome to you belief. Please understand what is it you find so appealing about neuroleptics. The effects are caused by damaging the brain. This isn't delicate brain surgery, this is a chemical bludgeon applied to the brain that causes actual brain cell decline, the longer a person is exposed to these dangerous and addictive substances. These drugs rewire the brain, and take longer to withdraw from than opiates. Your claim to them not being addictive or damaging is in error.

  • @Go2Ask2Alice Funny that you should ask, Goask. I am the author of a book on a completely organic and psych-med free healing from manic depression, schizophrenia, and ptsd. I healed myself, during a 17 year struggle for my life against mental illness. I've been symptom free for over 15 years.

On the topic of "nerve clamps" aka antipsychotics, you are talking about a class of drugs known to cause a 'chemical lobotomy" google antipsychotics damage the brain and read Bob Whittaker's books please.

  • People say they're experts, but don't know how the effects of medicinal marijuana benefits each individual. Not everyone is going to be effected the same. I've been treating my bipolar symptoms with marijuana and lithium for over 10 years now and it has been the best medicine. It was actually the drugs a doctor prescribed me that threw me off balance. Doctor's need to prescribe and the gov. needs to legalize because some of you experts are full of sh!t.

  • pot sent me from a hypomanic state to a mixed state, dysphoric mania.. the paranoia was unbearable, delusions of pissin meself and ppl laughin at me behind my back, thinking i'd killed somebody or done something really bad that i couldn't figure out (none of which was true and seems ridiculous even comical now) drugs DO fuck you up if you are predisposed to mental illness, its hard to let go of them but you have to

  • @CKMunsta It isn't for everyone, that's the point of of trying different remedies. I've heard that pot can't help and can have bad effects on schizophrenics. It's up to the person to decide the pros and cons. For me an others the pros of pot are so much greater than the cons that it really isn't even a question as to what's better. Medications are bad, i just found out how fatal and serious the side effects can be, for short term and long term. I'm done with them.

  • Im 36 allways self med useing marijuana. I finally went to get help and was put on 900MG of lithium. Im on my 3rd week of doc meds and its really not helping like marijuana did. IM ONLY DOING DOC MEDS SINCE BEING PUT ON LITHIUM. Ive never drinked because I would cycle one way r they other and was just 2 out there. Im a rapid cycler and Marijuana keeped me stable. Doc med is only pushed for a dollar sign. I agree with her alchol statement but not maryjanes. hope this helps

  • @mback74 Get off of the meds and start smoking again, don't listen to the doctors they are full of shit.

  • Fuck these drugs they all suck dick. I have been off of the meds for about a year and a half and I went to a holistic doctor. I have not smoked either... I used to smoke weed every day like a lot. I feel like i need to smoke right now bc it will make me feel better.. I'm not manic but I'm def bipolar b/c i get irritated at the dumbest shit ever and i feel like i need to relax my body with the right canabis.

  • This woman knows not of what she speaks.

I smoke every night for the soul reason of having a tranquil nights sleep.

  • weed

  • i was diagnosed with bipolar 7months ago and the psych drugs they force fed me made everything worse ,and as i gradually stopped taking them,my thought pattern changed and i started smoking mj again nd in an ironic way it helped me over come allot of the things that wre happening to me and making me feel more in love with life then i was then.when i was diagnosed i couldnt stop thinking i had progressive thoughts that made me do extreme things i wouldnt have normally done, i guess am just lucky

  • I am bipolar and sleep like a baby....I disagree...medical management makes you a guinea pig and lab rat of big pharmaceutical companies. Smoking elevates dopamine levels in your brain. To stay motivated I smoke and it makes me feel good. I like to drink too. I am addicted to the Ahhhhh feeling....a pill prescribed by a doctor will never provide that.

  • Are you kidding me?! recent studies have shown that low doses of marijuana can actually help certain mood disorders because of its affect on raising seratonin in the brain google for yourself

  • I also thinks she's in mania while on video .. which is the most potent drug there is.

  • She makes me want to drink

  • STANDARD AMERICAN DIET-->BRAIN MALNUTRITION----->PSYCHOSIS------>ECONOMIC DEPRIVATION...................... all from people who completely understand feedback loops and human psychology....... 'understand with all of your heart " hahahahaha do you understand what poisons sodas do to people as well? who financed this shil lol

  • Did she just compare marijuana to alcohol? She's a fucking idiot. =_=

    Marijuana MAKES you sleep, bitch!

  • Alcohol makes my bipolar 50 times worse. It makes emotions out of control. Marijuana should not be in the same catagory as alcohol. Pot helps you sleep. Its the best sleep ive ever had after ive smoked. Wheres your proof on cannabis having a negative effect. Many bipolar people disagree. Me included. But im happy for you that you know everything... Thats great.

  • I drank and drank in the evening so I'd sleep. I would pass out, then wake-up at 2:00 or 3:00 AM and I couldn't get back to sleep and many times I felt that if I had a gun, I'd use it on myself. That is a really clue that you may have Bipolar Disorder -- self-medication. Even in the short time I've been on medications for Bipolar my desire to use alcohol is ZERO!

The healthyplace series is really great. Thank you!

  • Alcohol is the worst thing for Bipolar disorder i agree with her there but SHES JUST WRONG ABOUT THE POT. It actually helps you sleep and provides a stability I didnt even know existed. Oh and Its non toxic also. Sorry Big Pharma! Did I mention my Doctor seems to agree too since he wrote me a prescription.

  • weed is good for bipolar, these guys are out to make money from your misery. a few good joints help

  • what about ...smoking? ill be honest.. i think i might be bipolar...im just scared to go to the dr, n i dont want to waste time.. i jsut wana feel better... and although smoking dosnt give u a high.. sometimes it makes me feel... a small bti better jsut to have something in my hand... that i can control... and it helps me just breath... but still i dont feel good.. and i feel guilty for smoking... i dont even inhail the smoke i jsut... idk.

  • yes i dont want to drink alcohol anymore. thaks you so much

  • i smoke pot and im never sick your full of sh*t

  • indica strains of marijuana are very good for sleep.. this lady is confused

  • @casualtySR AGREED

  • she's never taken her meds correctly...my question is how can we have the same disorder (actually I was diagnosed with four), and the outcome be completely different? How does my doctor tell me one thing, and her doctor tells her something completely different? Why do some bipolar people have to be on meds, and others use vitamins and function fully? What is the key here? We've both been psych ward patients in the past. Thanks;)

  • @Rainydaywoman7 Very good question. Bipolar I is full blown out Manic Depressive first of all. And even with BP I there is a spectrum. Not everyone has the same amount of manias or depressions. I am typically mostly manic and rarely ever depressed. I think you nailed it by talking about how you have accepted BPD and your friend has not. Medication is NOT the end all be all treatment for BPD. I think you have to have a support group. You have to talk about your symptoms, how to deal with them..

  • @Rainydaywoman7 How to recognize them and be aware of when your symptoms can cause a problem with work, friends and family. As you know manic depressive people are very bright and have a great desire to please and work hard. We can be ultra successful. We can also say the wrong thing at the wrong time and lose our job no matter how much work we can do. I want to point out that some people even not medicated will not relapse for years! They are still BPD, unless they were misdiagnosed.

  • @Rainydaywoman7 by assiging meds it helps ensure that when the relapse occurs, you have a headstart against it. There is a good chance you will not be hospitalized. However, it may still be disruptive. I think a combo of therapy and meds is important for most, but everyone is different. It is tough for Drs because we BPDs are reknown for saying " I don't need my meds and I function fine w/o them" and we believe it. Some people think that they can but cannot really function.

  • I have bipolar 1. My doc weened me off of meds and created a vitamin regimen that I've taken for almost 2 years. I opened myself up to therapy. I have a strong support system. I transformed bad habits and accepted reality. I've used marijuana for 1 1/2 yrs. Not one manic cycle. Not one sleepless night. My doctor is thoroughly impressed...my friend has bipolar 1. She has researched nothing of her illness-she believes it's god. No support. no response to therapy. weed throws her into a mini cycle-

  • I'm finding Melatonin to be wonderful at treating my bipolar, Pot also does a good job but the problem is running out of it. I think this woman has been paid off by the pharmaceutical company's.

  • Not a Credible Source, this lady is straight out of AA

  • ??? I still smoke a doob once in a while if I'm having trouble GETTING to sleep, but then I sleep it off...I used to smoke an ounce a week to kill the black dog, but since diagnosis I have found it much better just to take my meds. (Lots cheaper, too, since I have drug insurance)I am also an alcoholic (as was my dad) with 28 years sobriety & we were both self-medicating when we drank. Great video but I feel it overvilifies marijuana, which has never given ME a problem, although booze sure did.

  • I'm bipolar and also a recovering addict. I know for myself that any drug is not for me. Including pot. I can't handle it. But, at this time I need the meds. I can say that at this period in my life, I have been doing alot of self medicating on alcohol. Its hard to stay on the meds, when some nights I feel like drinking. So, I'll take the meds and some days I'll drink. I'll never get better as long as I keep doing that.

  • How does Cannabis disrupt sleep? This doctor obviously doesn't know her Cannabis facts. I can understand a Sativa may disrupt sleep because its an energizer but an Indica disrupting sleep? Indicas put you to sleep faster than downing a whole bottle of Nyquil.

  • I think she has the right idea, but of course, like many of you have said, everybody is different. I choose to go without meds, and try to abstain from alcohol, which was my drug of choice. This is incredibly difficult and the mania and depression often come close to being too much. I may have to go back on meds at some point, but for now, I am managing for as long as I can. My mind/body cannot stand being on the prescribed meds.

By all means though, no one be afraid to give meds a try.

  • This women is clearly uninformed on "pot" Zzzzz...

  • @smcobb99 I have to agree. Both my parents are alcoholics and they think alcohol is evil. They abused it to where it made them evil so that is their experience. I can have one beer a week and I am medication resistant rapid cycle bipolar type 2. I do not need alcohol and more often than not, I am on such a bullet train/in my own world/have no time for alcohol.

  • lady stop blowin smoke outta ur ass! you my friend have no clue wtf your talking about!!!!!!!!

  • Weed don't harm SHIIIIIIIIT! It decreases brain swelling. I use it and the first diagnosis i had was BI-Polar. It slows my brain processes down and takes away all my anxiety so I can get my shit straight. Then i solved all my symptoms, from using it. Depression etc...its good shit yo

  • you lady are a dumb cunt so its better to but myself into a stupor with anti-psychotics and mood-stabilizers and be a zombie or use cannabis and enjoy life I bet this bitch is on the payroll at Phizer

  • @BabyJesus607 Amen to that

  • I was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder several months ago. I had also been a daily pot smoker for 3 years, about a half gram a day. I went to a couple of psychiatrists who prescribed traditional meds and told me to stay away from Marijuana. I tried the traditional meds to no real effect. So I went back to the marijuana. Now I have so much inner battle over using it. Who do I believe, the doctors or the weed advocates?

  • @Sp3077 Believe the weed advocates. Those doctors will prescribe chemicals that will make your body ill and WILL NOT cure your disorder.

It will make you a zombie - and these 'doctors' call that treatment.

  • lol. I use pot to induce mania. i am a circadian type. people are jealous of mania. and as for depression. well lets just call it hopeless romantics. dont geniuses usually have a psychological defect. the mind is like time, simply relative .

  • @foxleyleon My girlfriend suffers from mania - TRUST ME - NO ONE is jealous of that state.

My gal wasn't so happy when her mania got her locked up for two days in a cell full of real criminals for a minor shop lifting charge.

    You are bright but deluded.

Mania isn't some romantic creative phase - It's broken ribs and suicidal thoughts and weeping loved ones.

You stick your 'lol' and enjoy your 'induced mania' - It's YOUR HIGH and it will be your undoing smartass

  • hahaha weeds a plant it grows like that. oh look an all natural way to calm my bipolar symptoms down or an addictive potentially life threatening drug that jacks with my brain functions hu gunna go with weed! 420 FTW!

  • I dont agree with the weed part.. its prescribed to people with bipolar disorder and helps u sleep

  • I believe we should be aware that we live in a world of chaos, and out desperate attempts to control chaos, only makes things much worse.

Why not settle with the idea that everything changes, all the time, and be a part of it.

I believe psycho-tropic plants are here to make us realize this, and wake up from the unconsciouss slumber.

  • i was diagnosed with bipolar disorder as a child, they immidiately put me ona drug cocktail of concerta, zoloft, and risperdol concerta: adhd drug

Zoloft: antidepressant risperdol: ANTI- PSYCHOTIC they put a child on this and expected me to be ok? i was like a zombie when i was on it and suicidal when i wasnt im a productive member of society now, but im also HAPPY! i loathed the wretched things they made me take, im now happy and free of my torment. thank god for mary jane!!

  • @mewmaster151 GOD BLESS YOU - Children with BiPolar Disorder ? REVOLTING ABUSE BY DOCS !

    Glad you made it !

    SMOKE IT !

  • i quit smoking pot because it didn't help period it made me have psycosis when i was manic i feel alot better without it.

  • @Defyou15

If pot doesn't help and you feel it makes your mania worse - then by all means trust your instincts and avoid it.

At least you are making your own informed choice.

  • I smoked for 23 years and the only time I feel like life isn't worth a shit, is when ever I ran out of pot. And when I quit. Then I start to drink, in place of pot. All I do is get up, go to my job, make someone else money, come home, dwell on how little life is worth. Go to sleep and do it all again. . Life isn't about your job. I am feeling more suicidal than ever since I quit. Maybe I will, when I pay off my debts. What else is there to do, if you don't enjoy anything the same anymore?

  • I bet anyone with bipolar disorder, try to use marihuana for medical treatment, and you will realize it will help you,

  • mental illness is a very spiritual thing. You must reach your higher power and acheive sobriety, meaning soundness of mind

  • @seansilbert

    What that F ????

  • im bipolar and i self-medicate with marijuana, it helps a hell of a lot more than any pill a doctor has prescribed me, this lady is jumping to conclusions to quickly, sure maybe pot doesn't work for some, it affects everyone differently but it works for me and i wud recommend people try it before any of the prescription drugs which have a lot more negative side effects.

  • Who the hell is this lady talking about?! That cannabis doesn't help bipolar. What scientific study is that based on?

  • Cannabis helps Bipolar immensly, it stables the mania and when your in the deepest of depressions it can make everything slip away, you feel relaxed and you have no cares in the world, IMO it should be the main medication for bipolar, it has 0 side effects, unlike these chemical drugs which cause liver damage among other things and polute your body....LEGALIZE TODAY!!!

  • Smoking cannabis in the evening does not steal away your sleep.

    Drinking alcohol does that.

  • @Teleterkji

Alcohol makes you pass out and o to sleep just like weed does, so neither disrupts sleep. They help sleep. So...fail for this video.

LOL I'm only half joking but seriously, drugs are bad fro this disorder.

  • Its that word ((disorder))

if we believe in a diagnosis

more than we believe in our selves

then we have no mind of our own.

    Then we are but zombies

and will be treated as such.

  • @Teleterkji

I'm sorry but it is a disorder. There is a lack of order in the brain. Dis-order. In other words, chaos. By definition, being manic depressive is a disorder. I wish people wouldn't call it "bipolar". I wish it was still referred to as "manic depressive", because this description is more true to what it is. I know the words seem interchangeable, but to me they are not.

Anyway, the brain is an organ like any other body part that can have imperfections like anything else.

  • I would say that " this order" (chaos) is not just

present within the brain of some people, but actually a part

of our shared consciousness and the world at large.

Now we dont like to call our world ((disorder))

but it is,and that some people are sensitive to that is a good sign, such people tell us in what state the world is in.

  • @blahblahblahman ALCOHOL absolutely disrupts sleep you fool.

Don't be such a simplistic moron.

  • What about using pure caffeine to get myself out of bed in the morning?

  • Comment removed

  • drug and alcohol use can have extreme effects on bipolar disorder that can exacerbate the illness and have extensive, even long term, negative effects.

  • @healthyplace your a dumbass, if marijuana can treat it its always better than using chemicals

  • @healthyplace What about coffee, is there any link problem related to drinking coffee and taking the proper medications that treat bipolar disorder?

  • @healthyplace she is exactly right, sleep is the most important thing

  • Beer makes bi polar fun...

  • nah. i was hoping that you weren't a fucking stupid yankee liberal who would say that God created those. because he didn't. man created murder and all that bull shit. when that bitch bit that apple, everythin got fucked up. dont get me started bitch.

  • hahahaha

    pot helps me sleep bitch

and pot does not make me sick the next day

    God make marijuana

    humans made alcohol and medication

i think i will go with God on this one bitch

  • hey. i was just reading your comment and you said god made marijuana therefore saying it must be good. if thats true god made murderers, cancer and suffering too, does that make it ok? from arguements you use from now on I dont suggest you use that point.

  • I honestly thought that weed was an effective mood stabilizer. What are some opinions about this?

  • marijuana is a mood stabilizer. I had manic episodes and got into physical fights with people on a regular basis because my brain was on fire. I was peremptory, impatient, aggressive and confrontational until I discovered pot at the age of 18. The first thing I noticed was the voices went away when I smoked it. Natures own antipsychotic. Being tense all the time wrecked my nervous system. Cannabis helped me relax. Cannabis also helped me meditate as a beginner when my mind was jumpy.

  • Im the same as her and when I smoke tons on weed and drink aswell, I really do feel fubar for the next couple of days the effects can be terryfying when your coming down.

  • Marijuana is used to help serotonin production. Marijuana helps you sleep, not the opposite.

This lady isn't a doctor and obviously doesn't know crap about marijuana. She compares it to alcohol, that the first sign of her marijuana knowledge retardation.

  • couple things I protest about Julie's talk.

first not everyone with BPD symptoms who uses medical marijuana or alcohol use this stuff all night and have problems with sleep. In fact if you are slightly manic or depressed either state can make you sleepless and smoking pot can and does make it easier to sleep.

as far marijuana exacerbating BPD? pot can calm down a racing mind and make depressive feelings less intense and less crippling, exactly what drugs from a pharmacy are supposed to do

  • as someone who successfully managed their illness for some years with marijuana I can tell you now that cannabis had wonderful effects on me. I was able to go to work and do my job. it helped me sleep. It helped balance my cycles with no undesired side effects. there is nothing wrong with cannabis use and under the Obama admin the pointless raids on medical MJ clinics will end. You can get a MJ Rx from your doctor for depression or agitation.

  • finally if you really want to talk about doing harm to your mind and body lets talk about psych meds.

According to Kay Jamison you have lithium and neuroleptics for treating (not curing) BPD

antipsychotics damage your frontal lobes and lithium makes your blood toxic. both drugs have horrendous EPS profiles which include long term neurological or hormonal damage

taking your drugs from a pill bottle may seem to be more mature and responsible but it does terrible damage to your mind and body

  • @SFJane and to HELL with doctors who prescribe antipsychotics in the treatment of bipolar disorder. seriously. fuck all of you. sorry bout that but im. altruist.

  • @foxleyleon DOCTOR$ = PROFITS FOR BIG PHARMA

    SMOKE GOD'S LOVE

  • @SFJane You know what I hate?

I go to the psychologist, who talks with me for literally all of 15 minutes, barely skims through my childhood, then tells me I'm Bipolar Type II. Then, he insists that the marijuana that's been helping me more than any other drug for 1 year is just "making me unstable" and that I should just "take his medication instead because it's cheaper".

I have to admit, I'm disgusted by ignorant doctors today! Hell, it seems like anyone could lie and be given a pill!

  • @GrowTheTruth I hear you! Stay true to yourself, and we'll make it through the Era of Toxic Psychiatry some day, er, year!

  • @GrowTheTruth No, he means that you should stop taking YOUR drugs and start taking HIS drugs! He gets paid a larger commission off of selling you those drugs than he does by actually visiting his patients!

  • @TomDavid88 Exactly! Fucking doctors could care less about people's health! Because when it's the doctor's choice between making his rent or ensuring his patients are given proper care, most doctors are more interested in paying their own bills.

  • @GrowTheTruth as long as he gets paid :))

  • @GrowTheTruth because companies just want money.. i can't even count any more how many times I would go to my doctor appointments. the nurse sees me she ask 5 questions, then 10 mins later i'm out the door... I was diagnosed bipolar a year later no more then 10-15 mins of talking with a different doctor, i think i might have schizophrenia. really why because I'm seeing colors and hearing voices. oh yes schizophrenic here is some meds. feel on my ass to the point it felt like I had the flu.

  • @schizobipolarjoe he didn't even ass me how much sleep or little sleep i was getting how much stress I had in my life. I got schizophrenia from religion.. I'm finely free from it, and have very minor schizophrenic symptoms now...

  • hang on. "there is nothing wrong with cannibis use" is the stupidist un thought out statement I have ever heard in my life. everyone is different, everyones circumstances and ways of life are different so there is no way you can just say its ok for everyone.

  • woah cowboy what planet are you from? In my state, California, the intelligent voters passed legislation that allowed medical marijuana to be prescribed to patients. Do you understand that? The voters of California have decided there is nothing wrong with cannabis use. All you have to do to get an Rx is go to your doctor and ask for one. You also puts words in my mouth. I did not say in my previous comments that cannabis was ok for everyone.

  • Me too, I've never been on medications and what an improvement since getting off alcohol and poor quality dope.

  • lol i got off the poor quality dope too, never liked alkohol anyway. I honestly think this differs allot depending on who you have in front of you. I recon bipolairs shouldnt use drugs when psychotic.. reason is pretty obvious. i wouldnt recommend it when depressed either but for some it helps. And when leveled, then any drug does the same to you as to others. Im no doc tho, salud

  • i did it
