  • Funny... I was looking up tips to shoot the sunrise this morning in Jacksonville FL.

  • I was told to use a UV just to protect the lens, should it be considered in the "remove all filters" tip?

  • Yeah I would remove the UV filter. Regardless of what kind of filter, you'll still get the same effect when shooting right into the sunrise/sunset.

  • why don't you use flash when taking pictures of people and when the sunset is on the background?

    with no flash, the object (human) is dark.

  • I Like the Silloute shots.. But 1 Queston.. Is he metering off the sky of the Person (Or animal) in the shot.. I would assume that he would be metering off the sky..

  • IMO metering the sky, otherwise it'd be overexposed
