How FOIA really works is, any information of substance will be obfuscated by a torrent of bureaucratic tricks to dissuade you from having that information. They will try to eat up your time, money, and patience by saying they “can’t find the records,” “the records don’t exist,” “your request was not specific,” etc, etc… Oh, and If you finally get the records they will edit out all the relevant parts.
