What would the significance in the development and implementation of long distance communication have been and how may it have impacteded the transition from a nomadic lifestyle to the Neolithic Age, Era ?Im trying to kill two birds with one stone. By providing a theory that may hold the key to the transition between the Nomadic and Neolithic times and solving the mystery of the "nutting Stone" that has baffled archaeologists for centuries.
And by looking again after reading alot of the post's,and somethings we just cant tell thru video, but all points have diferent charistics that set them apart,& any old timer will tell you it starts in the falking, and from here it looks like dead set Clovis flaking,i've only held a hand full but have seen hunderds, and it sure looks good to me,awsome dude, your one of a kind, not many people do that, gotta freind who lets me dig alittle but keeps all the good ones,so to see someone do that,is awsome
@mbrooksy1970 Thank for commenting. I only let a few guys dig there but you keep what you find and I get the broken stuff in case I find the other half later. Good luck.-Tim
that was just awsome, your 1 hell of a guy, to bring someone in and let them dig and keep, dont worrie about the haters you always get them,u got got to ignore them,Rudy does a nice job on the restoration, keep digging where there's 1 there's more, just keep digging & digging it's there for ya, Good Huntin
Thats a rare thing to be finding so my congrats go out to ya'll.Hope to see a ton more come out of your site.......Cache of clovis points? Would be nice
You got to witness and be a part of something that few ever do and you're a most gracious host and true friend! That's an awesome Clovis and so cool that we could all witness its discovery. That place has been awesome and now there's no doubt that Paleo is there, below the Archaic. Thanks for sharing that special place and documenting it all! Keep on Rockin' :)
@pyrolytic you are wrong my dear sir there is obvious fluteing , thankfully we dont depend on someone thousands of miles away to name our points. better guess next time, sincerly richard
@pyrolytic Your an idiot ! You realy should do some research before you run your mouth. If you look at the still photos, it is clear that there are fluts on both sides. One side has multiple fluts that cut the flake scars. Every characteristic of Clovis is found on this very fine peice. I dont have the time to waste to school you on all the things you think you know.
I have to admit, while you are portraying the correct attitude in being happy for him, I would be so envious too! All that digging there and he finds it!! He has a magic touch, no matter where he goes.
Hey buddy I guarantee you'll find more old stuff and possibly even another clovis or 2. I'll be sending you a message so that you can hopefully send me some photos of it through email so I can do a wall paper, or put it on my wall as art.
Awesome find indeed man! I look forward to seeing what else you pull out of there.
@kenny1979 Any time you take a friend arrowhead hunting, do you ask him to give you back all of the stuff that he found? If you do, I bet you dont have many friends.
I saw your initial reaction and mine would have been the same!
You were there for an epic moment!
And I hope you get a cache of *fluties*
This is the same place as the scottsbluff, Grahams, Dove ect?
Thats a lot of time represented and just imagine the different ways of life and the way the land & animals have changed since that point & tool were left there:)
@stumpythumper The same place. The time range goes from Mississippian to Clovis. Cahokia points, to Clovis point. That point came out of a 4x4 foot hole, there has to be more.
hope you have been relaying all of your finds and data to a professional in your area

WOW, what a moment. Leave it to Richard to come up with that Clovis point. Hopefully you can score a 8" sedallia from the Cucumber!!!
Nice job on those restored pieces. Does Rudy use a epoxy and color it?
