Whitechapellllll...... omg why did you have to show this on tv! btw its true all the things on the show A man convicted of murder did pleade insanity after watching london after midnight. Apparently one roll is still available in the Turner/Jefferson vaults at HollywoodIt is not under London After Midnight but its under The Hypnotist also when announced a film company agreed to show it. Afterwards when about to film, the film roll was stolen and they have never managed to catch the crook since.
This film is supposdely the scareist film ever made to be able to drive the most sane person temperorly mad plus its a better legend lost but somwhere in a dusty old storage space or attic it is waiting to be found
Even though the story of "London After Midnight" and "Mark of the Vampire" does kinda suck, I would definitely watch London for Chaney. Crappy movies were made worthwhile by his performance... I'm just saying. :)
Love PHANTOM? Don't want to a see a nonsensical sequel in which Raoul becomes a drunkard, Meg becomes a murderer, Christine becomes a slut and the Phantom becomes a composer of trashy vaudeville?
You're not alone.
Visit LoveShouldDie [dot] com to find out the awful truth behind the non-awaited sequel, denounced by the estate of PHANTOM's original author, condemned by PHANTOM fans everywhere and ridiculed by the international press.
Dear ringmybell45,What Turner Classic Movies airs is the photographic reconstuction of "London After Midnight". This reconstruction married all available still pictures of LAM to the title cards and script continuity. It was produced a few years ago as an extra in the double dvd release of TCM's "Lon Chaney Collection". The double disc also contains the Chaney features of "Laugh Clown Laugh" (whose clown image appears on the disc set box cover), "The Ace of Hearts" and "The Unknown".

Man I wish they found a print of that film. I would adore to see it. I'd love to compare Lon Chaney's acting as a vampire from London After Midnight to Max Schreck's from Nosferatu!
