  • The DWANGO maps from DOOM used a lot of NIN songs (converted to MIDI), Everytime I listen to NIN, I get a craving to go play deathmatch.

  • chicken fuckin fried rice

  • when my sis was at uni back in 2000 she made me a mix tape of stuff she thought id like from ppl she was with, it was mostly coal chamber and screamy crap i couldnt care for then this came on and i split the front of my shorts

  • @phaeton01 thats funny. my first impression of NIN was half-heartedly asking a gothic chick i was in tenth grade with to burn me "With Teeth" and really liking it but not her so much and thought i would never see her again, then 5 years later i start dating her, then hating her but i still listen to NIN.

  • great tune... it sounds very similar to Queen's "Fight from the Inside" (only harder, of course)

  • my favorite nin song

  • everytime i listen to NIN i want to fuck.

  • This describes perfectly what being manic feels like.

  • so powerful and aggressive...one of my favorite NIN songs.

  • Everything about this track is perfect. I can listen to it all day and not get tired of it. Hell I can listen to just the chorus all day and not get tired of it

  • beatargasmic

  • great industrial sound and rythm, let us follow them

  • the chords in this song are not trademarked and it is difficult to write a catchy heavy rock song without using them, who ever makes a "this song is ripped off by these.." whatever, if you said that, chances are you said it because you put 2 and 2 together, and came up with a 3. Really good. This song sounds a lot like abunch of heavy songs, because of the power chords used. Stick to math asshole, music is not your thing.

  • oh and just FYI, godsmack is a shyt band whose popularity is utterly baffling. enjoy this lil free nugget of information.

  • @kcmet79 Personally, I enjoy listening to Godsmack. I also really like Nine Inch Nails. There are many other bands that I do not enjoy, but I wouldn't say they are, um...'shyt'... simply because I do not like them.

  • So......... not only is this one of the top 3 guitar intro's EVER, but this is also without a doubt some of NIN's finest work! I have listened to these guys since the early 90's, and I still fuckin love'em.

  • @MrPsyclops1 oh yea. still one of the top ten tracks and vocals ever crafted.

  • yikes volume war

  • I miss angry nine inch nails...

  • Well this was disturbing. (And I LOVED IT). That said, I hope TR is in a better place mentally. After being awarded for Broken he said his epitaph should read: REZNOR: Died. Said 'fist fuck', won a Grammy. How awesome is that?

  • Comment removed

  • This song would be amazing to have some rough sex to. Jus' sayin.

  • @cwSHOSHONEcw Godsmack more successful than NiN? What a joke. Mr. Reznor is a much more merited artist than Godsmacktrash ever dreams of being. Godsmack will be lucky if they are able to be in the music marketplace a quarter of the time Trent already has under his belt!

  • This song is often overshadowed by Wish and Happiness in Slavery, but this is really one of the best songs on the album! Deserves WAY more credit!

  • I don't even care if this sounds like other songs, no one else can match the lyrical intensity of this song. every word is so carefully placed

oh and by the way i don't think Trent cared if it sounded like other songs because it wasn't meant to last...

  • From 1992. You can't play this loud enough.

  • This isn't meant to last

    This is for RIGHT NOW

    This isn't meant to last

    This is for RIGHT NOW!

  • This makes me wanna dance.

  • go get some hobos off the street. we are playing this song as we watch them brawl for 100 dollars

  • Last is a easy series of power chords, that is very common in heavy rock. Those 3 power chords sound great together, because certain notes, sounds and tempos sound good together means a variety of musicians will use it in different ways. I do not see Trent filing a law suit again God Smack, or giving them a stern telling off, or stamping his feet and calling them fat or pigs. If he felt screwed by any of these bands, he would let them finish, but first he would let them know.

  • anybody notice that riff from queen's "fight from the inside"?

  • Everyone is entitled to their opinion... no one is right nor wrong. Both "time bomb" and "last" kick ass. Technically "Last" came out first but it isn't that similar at all and that little intro doesn't make the song. Grow up kids...

  • in your fucking life godsmack is better than nine inch nails they`re a real legend....................

NIN is the best never will be forgotten.......is part of the rock history

  • @grabesmond1 You bet your sweet ass they are. ;) Nine Inch Nails was the first band to launch the industrial genre into the mainstream.

  • @Koolaidmusicjunkie

I don`t bet nothing...... i never said that ........think what it you want....

  • @Koolaidmusicjunkie whatever...................

  • @grabesmond1 what? I was saying NIN was awesome. :/

  • @grabesmond1 "rock history"

    lol

  • サビのフレーズへの持って行き方が、かっこよく、トレントの天才性を、感じさせる。

  • Fuck all you assholes. I fucking hate you. Individually and collectively. "Godsmack is better" "No they're not" "Yes they are you big poop head" "Your'e a poop head" "I know you are but what am I?" Both of you shut the fuck up. Who even really gives a fuck? One of you likes the Nails, the other likes Godsmack. Whoop-dee ass-fucking doo.

  • If you have not driven with this song at maximum volume, with both your windows down, while attempting to scream like Trent Reznor, then you are no Nine Inch Nails fan.

  • I bet most if not all of Godsmacks songs are just rip offs.

  • Godsmack sounds better

  • @PhillisNutsack In your shitty opinion.

  • @FuckYourGodYourLord

Fuck YOU!!! you athiest piece of shit

  • @PhillisNutsack Oh that's such a Christian thing to say to me. Did Jesus teach you to say such things to me? lol

  • @PhillisNutsack he's not worth it man some piece of shit who enjoys mocking others beliefs fuck him

  • @FuckYourGodYourLord Godsmack is still a way better band, more successful anyways.

Another fun fact is if you look up Godsmack and NIN on youtube and see which band has a the most views on a single song.......the winner is godsmack(by over double the amount). LOL, fuck you faggot.

  • @cwSHOSHONEcw youre a fucking idiot. thats like saying justin beiber is better because his videos have more views.go choke on a ballsack.

  • @cwSHOSHONEcw hahaha that's because the majority of society LIKES SHITTY music such as Rihanna, Britney Spears, Godsmack, Black Eyed Peas, Lil Wayne etc. Majority opinion doesn't mean a lot when the masses are brain dead retards such as yourself.

  • @FuckYourGodYourLord Your opinion isn't even worth reading, You're a dumbass for putting godsmack in that group of nigger music that you probably sing to in the shower.

  • @cwSHOSHONEcw BACK OFF TROLL! XD

  • @cwSHOSHONEcw Godsmack sucks...they're nothing compared to NIN. They have one good song, and that might be "I Stand Alone"...Godsmack will never have the level of talent Reznor has....never....the sooner you can accept that, the sooner you'll stop being a troll.

  • @cwSHOSHONEcw Justin Bieber probably gets more hits than both combined. Your logic don't mean shit. : P

  • @halo27legend Lets see if Bieber has the following NIN does after 2 decades of making music! Bieber couldn't hold Trents jock when it comes to talent and music makeing.

  • @cwSHOSHONEcw not taking sides really (i have never heard of godsmack is the main reason)

but i have noticed a tendency that views on youtube have nothing to do with popularity very often, especially for songs released before 2000

that said, nine inch nails as well as a lot of other industrial bands just plain out put metal bands to shame

  • @PhillisNutsack Nah man, NIN's original.

  • i love it.

  • "dress up this rotten carcass just to make it feel alive" heavy line

  • I don't see the resemblance between Time Bomb, and this song... This song blows. All I hear is this guy talking about cumming in someone, and wanted to be came in. Time bomb has nothing to do with jizz.

  • @Tyler98015 That's your shitty invalid opinion.

  • cum, cum, cum, cum, gotta let me inside of you!!!

  • i have a signed copy of this album. it is my holy fist fucking grail

  • Simple answer to who ripped off who. Which song came out first. Last by NIN's. Only thing left to wonder is if time bomb was intentionally ripped off, which for now can only be left to speculation, but to anyone who says NIN's ripped off Godsmack....lmfao.

  • @491239254

    Your a cunt.

  • insane guitar..... most underrated NIN track ever?

the riffs! THE RIFFS! I REPEAT.... THE RIFFS!!!!!!

  • @kcmet79 This is litterally my favourite track by NIN of all time! I AGREE!

  • 0:43-1:05 makes me jizzz

  • I'm seriously considering buying this album....

    I think I will.

  • does someone knows similar songs like this one i mean the beat the sound of guitar and the way they play is just awesome so yea is there other songs like this?

  • My favorite lyric parts: "my lips may promise, but my heart is a whore" and "dress up this rotten carcass just to make it look alive". Brilliant.

  • Favorite NIN album.

  • this song is so fucking intense,I've been listening to it for 19 years and its still the heaviest shit I have ever heard

  • This is easily my favourite NIN song!!!

  • Yeah People, this sounds like time bomb, get over it. Stop saying one band ripped off the other. Both songs rock! Doesn't matter if two songs sound similar... unless they're both crappy songs

  • @491239254 Dude, you do know they asked for permission for the riff. No matter what band you prefer, Time Bomb sounds like Last, Last doesn't sound like Time Bomb.

  • @frootloopwarriors I just meant that they both sound similar, Doesn't matter which way you put it.

  • @491239254 Last came first. So Time Bomb sounds like Last, not the other way around.

  • @VogtTD Does it matter? They're both good songs

  • @VogtTD thankyou

  • @VogtTD lost respect for sully - crying lyke a bitch so douchey !!!

  • @491239254 what is a time bomb?

  • @phukewe1 Song by Godsmack. I almost like it better than this.

  • @491239254 Yeah, I mean six years earlier

  • @491239254 "unless they're both crappy songs"... LOL!!!!! :D

  • is it just me or does this sound eerily similar to Godsmacks time bomb, or the other way around

  • @RoachCoachRoach NIN did it back in 1992.

  • @RoachCoachRoach yes i believe godsmack did rip this song off or its just sounds similar..so im not accusing no1 until i found out teh truth!

  • allways been a fan i love nin

  • when i see the picture, even if I know it's fire, I think about the jimi hendrix "electric ladyland" picture, because of The power and the awesomness of this pic ;p

  • most real lyrics ever... this is how it really is in love

  • i'm not sure if trent would ever want to (or could) produce another album/EP like Broken. remember he was in his mid-late 20s when he made this, he's now in his late 40s! (holy fuck, trent is 50 in a few years). regardless, i hope he's happy, whatever he's doing.

  • i wish Trent would make more music like he did in past instead that new stuff after with theeth which was begining of the downfall.

  • Comment removed

  • trent is 1 of a kind

  • Nine inch nails pretty much makes up anyones fuck play list

  • Remember when music was GOOD?

  • youtube is full of people with love ;-)

  • Pow! Right in the kisser! Pow! Right in the kisser! Pow! Right in the kisser! Pow! Right in the kisser! Pow! Right in the kisser! Pow! Right in the kisser! Pow! Right in the kisser! Pow! Right in the kisser! Pow! Right in the kisser!

  • FUCK YES!!! THIS SONG KICKS SERIOUS ASS!!! HOLY SHIT!!! HAVEN'T HEARD THIS IN LIKE, 20 FUCKING YEARS!! THIS WAS BACK IN THE DAY WHEN I WAS INTO SICK THINGS. I WAS PRETTY WARPED IN THIS DAYS!!!

  • Theres nothing that builds your adrenaline then this. Fucking seriously.

  • @frootloopwarriors And fuck Godsmack and their time bomb shit.

  • This is NINs hardest song on their hardest album! Wow!

  • iv'e given up but ill take you all with me!

    this wasnt meant to last

  • iv'e given up but ill take you all with me!

  • anyone else love the sounds from 4:00 on? it sounds like an animal or something getting tortured which is pure music to my ears

  • One of NIN's most metal songs. Very nice.

  • Since about '94 I thought these lyrics went "This isn't meant to last, this is poor white trash." LOL

This takes me back to '94-'95, this song and Wish, and RingFinger.

  • This song make me wish I had a ex-girlfriend !

  • Best song ever created. Period.

  • This album i soooooo FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!

  • At 2:20 its like getting kicked in the head by a huge fucking zombie, that awesome angry as fuck scream sends chills down the spine. How the fuck can anyone listen to shit like beiber, rhianna, ga ga.... well lets just say all of todays shit music that is getting smashed down out thoat's by these greedy, souless, scumbag , so called music producers and not tell me that that is not some of the angriest good ol' fist pumping mosh pit enciting music. FUCK REBECCA BLACK!!!

  • @buzzy462 HALLELUJA, MAW BR0THAR !

  • this helped me fart. i had bad gas. thank you trent!

  • Growing up this was the first NIN song I heard, and I found it on none other then a Doom wad, and the 16 bit wad midi kicked ASS. I still listen to the midi version for old times sake.

  • 44-54-almost jizzed myself.

  • @jamesnincross my sentiments exactly. amazing f-ing riff.

  • is it sooo mainstream to want to have a wife and kids? i dont think so. he wears jeans and a t-shirt now, so what. NIN as we all know what totally a band for the ages. but good things cant go on forever and he most likely put the band to rest. Its was great and there is still all this great music we can listen to. I just hate hearing how someone cuts a toe nail off and people get a butt hurt and start screaming commercial when someone does something different.

  • well first and foremost this is a great fucking song! love this album. but everyone seems to be trash talking trent and i just dont get it...I mean im only 29 years old and have listened to NIN since the broken album but even i can see that im not as full of hate as i was say back when i was 16-23 yrs old. I mean dont get me wrong i still hate mostly everything, but people and feelings change. how long can you growl and bark the same old tune?

  • @Nobody7720 I slightly disagree. Broken and TDS could be a box set together they are so similar in my opinion. Pretty Hate Machine. The halo releases were just a way of relevating the songs he had done in the past to his present, basically messing around with tones and speeds. The fragile appeared pretty commercial, but obviously this was after his grammy and commercialist so it's pretty obvious where the flavor came from, then after along with the musical album, I see a change re influance.

  • (clever insult directed towards modern music but Justin Bieber in particular)

  • @fallsupescalators (lncentent bitching about your comment)

  • if i knew the seven people that disliked this song i would rip their ears off because they obviously don't know whats good for them

  • Old school NIN is the best! This is my favorite era of them. From 1992-2000 is the best. Newschool NIN is weak and defeats the whole purpose of NIN. Most people that like new school NIN are sissy emo kids.

  • @RussX5Z Amen. I saw NiN live in '98 and...I don't know, you could hear a passion in trent's voice back then. I watch his live shows from the last 5 years or so and its just not the same. Not mad though, people change, he's still a good musician, just different.

  • @sstearns34 I totally agree with you. Unfortunately Trent has either lost his raw passion, creativity, his cold underground edge, or he doesn't give a crap anymore about what he represented in the past and makes music either because he wants another pay check or wants to blend in with the rest. I personally think its a bit of both. I mean he no longer fashions his unforgettably cool long hair and goth industrial clothes. And worst of all he even got married and became a family man.

  • @sstearns34 I mean I understand that Trent want s to be happy. But its just difficult when you grow up listening to NIN as a young teen hearing NIN sing about desperation, going against the man, going against the conservative mainstream, plain anger and depression. And right now this is the same guy that is conservatively married like another sheep average Joe.

  • @sstearns34 Don't get me wrong I still think Trent is a talented artist because of the great and unforgettable unique work he did in the past. But do I still think Trent's got it like the how he was in the 90's? Sadly NO.

  • @RussX5Z I thought the exact same thing until I saw "Survivalism" live and "Ghosts 31." Even though it has been almost 10 years, I still consider "the fragile" somewhat recent and a completely independent style from anything prior.

  • @RussX5Z He's 46 dude. Do you want him to go around acting like an angry teenager? He can't make rock forever...or I guess he could..but do you really like seeing 50 year old dudes on stage trying to act like they're 20 again? I'm glad he knows when to hang it up, I can't stand seeing bands like AC/DC trying to rock out when they're senior citizens. Trent has made a huge impact on the music industry and created tons of great music. There comes a time to pass on the torch on to newer generations.

  • @sstearns34 And I'm not expecting him to stay the same. Its good that he did changed but I think he changed in the wrong way. Its kind of hard to explain but in my opinion NIN today is no longer the original NIN during the good old days. Its kind of like when Glenn Danzig left the The Misfits. Yeah I know its that bad.

  • @RussX5Z I think NIN is over bro. I'm pretty sure trent officially laid nin to rest for whatever band he started with his wife. It was never really a band..just trent and some helpers for live shows, so it's not like it'd be hard for him to do a 'reuinion tour' or something...I just hope he has enough sense not to.

  • @sstearns34 I totally agree. And not only is NIN over but real, raw, talented, sophisticated and edgy heavy rock music is over too. I mean look at the tragic Pantera situation and Marilyn Manson losing his edge many years ago. Very sad. Anyhow keep staying true and take care man.

  • @RussX5Z Yeah that era of dark, surreal rock that came out of the late 80's and 90's is gone for a while. Music trends seem to be cyclical and now all we've got is linkin park and modest mouse, unless you're into stuff like death metal - nothing but screaming. At least KMFDM is still doing their thing.

  • @sstearns34 Nine Inch Nails isn't dead. Trents looking to another (highly anticipated, might I add?) volume of Ghosts. He is looking into three things currently; How to Destroy Angels (the band with his wife), Ghosts, and trying hard to look like he hasn't aged in over 20 years.

  • @RussX5Z There are two things that remain the same; Death and taxes.

Everything else will change, like it or not. :)

  • adds to song wanted to be played on my funeral.

    Check.

  • This song is the reason why i stopped listening to the rap and reggaeton...for those of you that live in NY. I would kick open the door to 92.3 strangle the DJ and put on this song. GOD DAMN IM FUCKIN PUMPED. This shit makes me want to punch a hooker in the stomach!!!! :D

  • @billabam To much grand theft auto

  • @billabam or the ovaries?

  • @billabam as soon as stern left bitching so did it.

  • a pregnant hooker in the stomach! POW!

  • @whiskygrimace POW! right in the kisser! POW! right in the kisser! POW! right in the kisser! POW! right in the kisser!

  • @billabam how bout someone bashes your fucking door down loser. kill yourself already

  • @billabam Maybe you were a natural born NIN´s fan but you didnt know it till you gave a listen to this kickass song... good for you man

  • point taken :P but nonetheless that is one of my favorite mini solos ever

  • Great fucking song!!!

Always has sounded so loud even at a low volume!

If you love NIN check out Down Machine Down!!!

  • at :43 seconds, you should put in parenthesis (awesome mini guitar solo) haha

  • @heiian No because that disorients the the listener from the song.

  • Everyone is slipping away..... Can they be saved? Or am I slipping away from them?

  • Anyone else hear this and instantly want to smash something into oblivion??

  • godsmack totally ripped this off !!!

  • @bolmsp And you know what? Trent doesn't mind.

In fact, I would go as far as to say, he doesn't give a fuck. Primarily because, not only did he stopped caring about that crap a long time ago, but also, he encouraged piracy of his music, and reuse, remixing of his music through remix.nin.com.

I won't repent this comment until you get confirmation from Trent he actually gives a damn.

  • pig do get what pigs deserve 8*]

  • THis song sounds so fucking loud.

It's like a freight train with a spiked front coupler and cannons mounted on the sides, handled by armed men guarding cabooses armed to the teeth with ground to air missiles. :P

  • how do we bring about this zombie apocalypse?

  • When they played this live a set down, it sounded even more awesome and heavy

  • If there were to be a zombie apocalypse, i'd smack this tune on my iPod and go out killing hordes of zombies........jus sayin'

  • @ashooo2010 Sounds like a plan!

  • @VogtTD I second that

  • @zjbeast second what? I don't know which comment you're replying to.

  • @ashooo2010

:) why wait for the apocalypse?

  • @rivethead99 lol true.

  • @ashooo2010 fuck yea cant wait for the zombie apocalypse fuckin normal people will be like oh my god i can live anymore im going to kill my self and motherfuckers like us are going to be having the time of our lives!!!! ima be having zombie kill of the week while listen to nin marilyn manson mayhem good shit like that

  • @smithwicks1ale fuck yeah! im ready for this shit, my experience playing nazi zombies and dead rising will have paid off!

  • @ashooo2010 Experience...? right, assuming that one can kill real life zombies by pressing buttons on a game controller.

Ill just grab my assorted ninjutsu gear and flip out on them. you can borrow a 3-piece staff if u want.

  • @femoman It was a joke man.

  • @femoman Twas a joke, most deaths in wars these days involve pushing buttons anyway =P

  • @ashooo2010 You're an internet fatbody like everyone else who comments on youtube; you'd smack this tune on your ipod, spend hours praying to god that this isn't really happening, go outside with a table leg to "kill hordes of zombies"...and get taken down like a weak newborn gazelle. Just like all the rest of us! :D

  • @thedungeondelver Well you see that's where you're wrong kind sir, when my mother gave birth to me, I came out holding 2 ak-47's, and since that very moment, i have been training and exercising everyday just waiting for the zombie apocalypse to happen. Trust me, i am a godsend!.......lulz.

  • @ashooo2010 Good point, almost makes me wish for a zombie apocalypse
