I'm sorry to say...BUT this is not hmong dance move. Which it is very sad and also very annoying. Hmong culture dance is slow moving all around. The hands are suppose to bend back stiffly and move slowing and the legs are suppose to moving back and forth in slow moving. The Hmong new outfit is also hideous!! This is no original!! Hmong has lost it's fine culture. FYI, I am Hmong myself in case anyone wonders about my username

its so interesting how you can see the mix of cultures in the dance. It has hints of polynesian (the arm movements), hints of indian (the music and footwork and some arm choreography) and has subtle hints of chinese and japanese relation.

that year was boring.. most of the dancers were from the Fresno area. and NHYY were the only ones that did well that year. and the judges cheated also. i guess, that year not alot of groups wants to compete, so probably H.I.N.Y. dragged alot of little girls to continue the tradition. and that year wasnt even competitive. no wonder most of the groups were from fresno. and they're just little girls.
