  • This adjustment brush looks awesome, and I'd like to try it, but when I select the adjustment brush I"m not getting the same panel you have with all the options like Effect, Custom, temp, Tint, exposure...shadows etc. I have the panel under that one Brush selection and sizing. How do I get the top panel with the all the sliders for exposure, shadows, sharpness, noise etc? I'm running LR4 Beta. Thanks!

  • The updates are great!!!, really functionals!

  • You can also adjust the brush size with the middle mouse button!

  • im asking because i dont know, whats the difference between Camera Raw and Lightroom?

  • @GabrielKnightz Adobe Camera Raw is a software module that comes bundled with Photoshop to process RAW files. Lightroom uses the same engine as ACR and are therefore very closely related for processing images of all types.

  • @oceandrew So the only major difference is that Lightroom is a standalone software? thanx for clearing that up :)

  • @GabrielKnightz Where editing is concerned yes, but there is more to LR than just editing. LR has also taken over the Adobe Bridge functions for organizing and archiving your image files.... keywording, ratings and collections as well as printing, slideshowing and web publishing. It's really quite impressive once you get the hang of it.

  • amazing video. THanks!

  • What platform are you working on? I've downloaded the Beta $ version and my Histogram and Basic command sliders do not look like yours. I only have Blacks, Fill Light, Exposure, and Recovery in the Histogram.

  • Except for the histogram and CA removal, everything's the same with LR3. Where's my levels adjustment?!

  • Is there png support?

  • don´t get it

  • Convinced.

  • Thanks for the cool video

  • I have a question i already have adobe lightroom 3.4 does that mean i can upgrade or do i have to buy it?

  • @azngamefreak46 You'll be able to upgrade at a lower price.

  • Just Wondering, Lightroom 4 can add text?

  • RIP! Fill Ligth... :(

  • Looks pretty good. Thanks.

  • Ignore the trolls and THANKS for the free videos!

  • Great, Thank you :) !

  • Awesome!

  • can you give a tutorial on how to give someone photoshop

  • Your job? Sweet jebus! I would love a job like this!! Do you have to upload regulay to get payed? And also could you do some more photoshop cs5 tuts if u don't mind. Thanks :D

  • @SuperSerialArt Regular uploads help the views, which help the revenue. More Photoshop videos coming soon.

  • @IceflowStudios u make $5 every 1000 views right?

  • @PurpleRabitHD No. There's no 'set' amount. It depends on the advertisers/time of year. We can't discuss specific numbers. Sorry.

  • @IceflowStudios apologies

  • @TheTechBite You realize that this is what I do FOR A LIVING? People need to get paid. If you want to work for free, by all means, knock yourself out. I have a family to support.

  • @IceflowStudios Relax, I was only joking. I was if a queasy mood earlier..as you can see I am still subbed. I appreciate your work, it is a notch above the rest.

  • @TheTechBite Are you serious!? It's literary like asking someone to work for free (this analogy is perfect because that is what you are sugesting) Do you do that with all services you use. "Hi doctor i feel like your treatment should be free because that 10 year old kid over there would do it for free". So if you want to watch the 10 year old kid's videoes insted of these becasue a 5 second ad, go ahead, but don't be a douche about someone doing his job.

    Sorry for my english.

  • Lol, people actually complain about 5 seconds of sponsor advertising at the beginning of a a FREE tutorial. I guess some people will never be satisfied with anything. -_-'

  • very informative, as always

  • why should i use lightroom instead of ps cs5? All the features you have showed us in this video are also available in ps cs5?

PS: I love your tutorials :D

  • this is pretty nice.

I started to learn lightroom a month ago, and it is much easier to use on photos than photoshop

  • Are you self taught or did you take like a college course or something? i would really like to know.

  • love your vids and the way you explain things.

    thank you very much =)

  • so is the Adobe Lightroom like the Photoshop Raw- funtion?

    Specially the Gradations-curves?!

  • Thank You!

  • Most features you have shown are old.

  • @wasserundstahl I haven't covered all the new features yet. More videos coming.

  • @1z1337 c'mon you know better than to say something like that

  • very very nice

  • This was very useful, thank you very much!

  • Well done sir.

  • @DallinJeepsUtah Thanks, Dallin!

  • only problem is if you have this softwware u need a 1000$ camera to actuall use it u cant take a simpl e80$ one and take anoisy image or whatever and fix it up to look nice just isnt possible

  • @BassPounderX While Lightroom is best with RAW images, you can still use it with your JPGs. On a side note, you can buy a RAW enabled camera for under $500 these days.

  • That's pretty amazing.

  • Pretty cool, thanks!

  • WOW......

  • aaand how much does this program cost?

  • wow, thats fantastic.

  • It doesn't look like much has changed compared to LR3?

  • This seems a lot like PS's Camera Raw. I like it.

  • You make it look so easy!

  • The noise reduction is better than in camera raw or the same?

  • @Universeal13 It's the same RAW engine.

  • Thanks Howard ! - I've watched a bunch of new videos today on the new beta, and your preview blows away all others. You have this uncanny ability to really teach us so in a manner that we understand much easier, and retain a lot more info -- that's what I find anyway. Great preview. Thank you Howard !

  • @FrostyTheBeerMan Anytime! Thanks for the comment.

  • I'm impressed, thank you!

  • I Just the light room 3! Student edition!

  • i wanted to see a before and after :(

  • pretty much the same thing that we had before, with 2 or 3 new things?

  • @10RLARA This was just the Develop module. The book creation is fantastic.

  • @IceflowStudios book creation ? what is it ?

  • @10RLARA You can create and buy real, physical books from Blurb using Lightroom 4.

  • You kinda sound like Sam (LOTR)

  • Lol, 3 days ago I just got the LR 3.5...

  • So in other words Lightroom 4 is just user friendly and anyone can use it who likes editing images if then don't like original :) Awesome! Even my grandmother can use it :D

  • put the link to adobe's website, that would be very useful

  • @Eysc Added it. Sorry.

  • @IceflowStudios Tnx!

  • I dont care what you review - or make a tutorial on...

I just like watching you making clear videos, with your great voice.

Keep it up man, I enjoy your videos!

  • Oooh I'm excited

  • @1z1337 Would you rather pay to watch these tutorials? Didn't think so. Sponsors allow me to create these tutorials FREE OF CHARGE.

  • @IceflowStudios or just share some knowledge, make this world a better place :P

  • @1z1337 You should be glad he lets you watch these for free, you should be more thank full rather than making a comment like that.

  • @1z1337

You do not have to watch the videos... If you do not like it - go away and be quiet.

  • wow - just wow

  • wow the people at adobe are f"$ing Awesome.
