Wow, I never thought I'd hear someone actually compare George Bush to Barack Obama. The idea that Bush was a Washington outsider is a misguided illusion, being that his Dad was the 41st president. George Jr. talked a good game but as we all see lived up to little.

Can't separate foreign policy from domestic concerns. Bush has been so discredited internationally that his stance on immigration has no support. In 2006 Dems like Webb/Tester won. Mostly b/c of Iraq. But some of it was Pat Buchannan style populism.
You have a point, noffius. However, I would point out that Dubya's major flaw isn't the fact that he lacked experience coming into the presidency. I think his major flaw is that he's an immoral power-hungry person and thus acts accordingly. I feel that Barack's history of public service at least shows that he wants to do what's right for humanity and not just for himself. Whether he'll be successful or not, I don't know. Do you agree?
