  • "If Jesus was a Republican, he would have asked for Proof of Insurance before healing anyone."

  • Any Christian who imagines that Jesus could support today's Republican Party types needs a refresher course in what these people are all about, which I provide at the site you'll find by googling "JesusNoRepublican".

  • Republican jesus teaches, "Don't feed he poor, it makes them lazy!"

The sad thing is Conservative support is the main reason COnservative policy is about to kill this country. Without thsie support only 1% would vote Connie, we know which 1%!

Hope you'll check out my vid on Republican jesus.. someone we all need to find out about!

Because, if he is the opposite of God, what does that make him? Opps, who are we worshipping in America? In WHOM do we Trust???????

  • I don't know that Jesus is a republican, but I do know that he is a conservative. I know he's pro-life, supports the nativity scene during Christmas season, is all for the display of the cross, and doesn't accept political correctness.

  • "Political correctness" is a meaningless term, devised to put a negative spin on being considerate of others. I dare say Jesus is shrewd enough to realize that. As for the rest of your claim: if Jesus was so conservative and non-controversial, why did He constantly criticize the Pharisees?---and why did He end up getting crucified?

  • Actually; "political correctness" is a term that's used to diguise moral wrongs. Examples: Illegal aliens are now called "undocumented workers." I never said Jesus was non-contraversial. Being contraversial is part of being a conservative. If the Pharisees were here today; they'd be part of the global warming nonsense crowd. Jesus was crucified for the same reasons liberals today want to crucify Sarah Palin. They can't stand people who actually speak the truth.

  • No, "undocumented workers" is a more precise term than "illegal aliens," which is why it's used, just as "cerebrovascular accident" is a more precise term than "stroke." You're just reacting emotionally, because the right wing media has put an emotional spin on the issue.

Liberalism is about change, and what Jesus stood for was a very big change from status quo Judaism. So, no, He was NOT conservative. (Nor did He or the Pharisees express an opinion about global warming.)

  • I never said the Pharisees preached global warming. I said they would if they were here today. The pharisees were just like the democrat party of today in the way they seek to control our lives.

You may think Jesus was a liberal when it came to his position on giving to the poor. The difference is Jesus left it up to us to "freely" give while the liberal establishment redistributes wealth by force.

    Uninvited immigrants ARE "illegal aliens."

  • That's just silly. It isn't the Democrats who have sought to trim away our civil liberties. And it isn't the Democrats who keep trying to turn the clock back fifty years to an ideal time that never really existed, except on TV and in the movies.

As for your claim about Jesus's remarks on giving to the poor: BOTH political parties believe in charity. But the right wing believes in ignoring problems that cannot be completely solved through voluntary donations. That's hardly Christlike.

  • I didn't know the republicans were working to dissarm us, institute the "fairness doctrine" to talk radio, abolish any mention of God in public, and tax us to death. What rights have the reps taken away from you, other than your right to murder your own unborn child?

Here's something you might find interesting: The top 25 most generous states voted for Bush in '04. So you see; like Jesus, we believe in charitable giving from our own wallets. We don't give by stealing from others.

  • Your first claim is NRA propaganda. Your second one is bogus, since not all liberals want the Fairness Doctrine to return. (Trust a neocon to want to avoid anything smacking of fairness.). Your third is pure nonsense---you're free to mention God whenever you please, but you are NOT entitled to force your beliefs on a captive audience. The fourth isn't true, either, but, since Bush squandered us into near bankruptcy, we must now pay for his mistakes. That's what responsible people do.

  • Your comment about "most generous states" is irrelevant. We're talking about your responsibility to keep your society in good working order, which is neither voluntary nor negotiable. If you're too cheap to pay for the maintenance of that society, then you're sponging off of the rest of us, pure and simple.

  • You are right about Bush. Him and congress have spent like drunken sailors. Republican voters have spent the last few years punishing them for it by not voting for them. The government has plenty of our money already. What they need to do is exercise constitutional restraint and only spend where it's authorized, mainly in our national security. I think conservatives and liberals both agree we didn't want the bailout.

  • Love Cindy Lee's irreverent tone, and the video. Well done.
