From the looks of it, Scotland woke up this morning and realised the severity of what it had done; it had voted for the policies of narrow minded nationalists, none of whom are in politics to improve the lives of the Scottish people, but rather exist to forward their childish obsession with divorcing Scotland from it's United Kingdom. The forthcoming battle against independence will be long and painful - but imperative.

Also, no one is going to be forced to vote yes in the referendum and even if independence is voted for it's hardly going to happen over night, both England and Scotland have far too many sensible people to let that happen.

@1966thewallace The SNP stand for ignorance, bigotry and fantasy politics. Really, free prescriptions, no tuition fees, 100% of our energy from renewables in 9 years (lol), all of these policies will bankrupt Scotland and weaken our services. Also, Britain is a small island with a group of peoples who share the same language, customs, culture and history, why partition it based on the bigoted mentality of a few people in the north?

@1966thewallace Well for starters, the SNP did not receive over 50% of the vote, they took 44% on the list vote and 45% on the constituency vote. Also, the SNP did not win on the sole issue of independence. Labour failed people all across Britain with their reckless spending and deficit denial, and whilst England and Wales chose the Tories to sort the mess, Scotland went to the SNP as the only party capable of defeating Labour. The Scottish Labour campaign was a bit of a disaster as well.

@1966thewallace I acknowledged in my second last comment that indeed the SNP did win the election, and I postulated on why that occured as well as correcting your fallacy in saying that the SNP took over 50% of the vote, which they did not. Now thus far, you have failed to say anything constructive or worthy of debate and I really cannot be bothered wasting any more argument with you, given that there is no reciprocation going on in terms of intelligent debate.
