  • Alright there! Have you ever tried - fast abs magic (should be on google have a look)? Ive heard some great things about it and my work buddy got ripped 6 pack abs and lost tons of belly fat with it.

  • @mehedi9855 repent to tim tebow

  • Steve please answer this...can i create a 1000 calorie deficit per day just by eating less without excercise alone ? or do I need a combination of both to creat the 2 pounds per week >?????

  • @SubZeroSkyLine It depends on how much you're eating. But usually it's easier to do both.

  • Hello! Your videos have helped me a lot and am just wondering if my FAT LOSS isgoing the right direction.

    Here we go:

    (1) I am at a Calorie Deficit of -500 a day of what I need to maintain weight, that should be equivalent of -3500 calories a week (My protein intake is about .8g to 1g my weight also, carbs/fat are in check)

    (2) I exercise 20-25 minutes of med.intense cardio in the morning and at evening, 30-40 min med. to high intense weight lifting. I do both 5-6x a week.

    Thank you!!

  • something to be aware of is that losing weight too fast means you are dong something that is "abnormal". you are striving to do something using willpower.

by losing less, but still losing (1 lb seems optimal to me.) is an almost effortless change in your everyday activity . bet on people being lazy and you'll win.

<-- losing 1lb a week going on 4 month now. so easy.

  • @0587dave You are absolutely right. BUT just raising your heart rate because of walking or running doesn't mean you'll burn muscle. When you're at 50% of your max heart rate you can build and repair tissue so if you had a cold you could do easy cardio and get better.

  • I used to lose about two or three pounds a week, but I've lost a lot of weight so now I'm losing about half a pound a week

  • i've lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks doing these things:

    20minutes of cardio everyday

    diet

lifting weights 5 times a week

  • i guess that's why i feel discouraged when i lose only three or five pounds a week. i didnt know that i was doing good. thanks for the confidance boost.i try to weigh myself every ten days so i dont get discouraged. this time i lost 6 pounds in ten days. yay for me!

  • 1 lb a week for a year is 52 lbs. I am trying to lose 120 lbs so i am going for a little over a lb a week for 2 years. That seems a lot more reasonable than trying to lose all that weight in a few months like in the biggest loser. Also, I think taking your time and doing it over a longer period of time you are trainning yourself to live reasonably. I wonder how many of the biggest losers went home and after the show could not work out that intensely and gained the weight back.

  • MANY of em' have! If you have 120 lb to lose, you'll find two things. First, with that much weight to lose you can and will lose a bit more at the start. You may lose like 2-3 pounds a week with no problems. Then it will slow to 1-1.5 lbs a week and then 1 lb a week generally. You'll find that if you're just losing 1 lb a week, that the majority of it will be bodyfat. When you do that, you'll see that you don't have to lose as much "weight" as you think. 50 lbs of fat will make HUGE difference!

  • steve, lets say i get a treadmel ok?

then i start runnin on it and also the tredmel tells me about how much calories im burining depending on the speed i set it to,

so should i try to run off about 500 calories all at once or can i subdivide it

which ever is best for me

  • When you burn your calories during the day makes no real difference. Depending on your effort, you could probably do that in about a half hour, if you can squeeze it all in at once, then you would just be done for that day. The only thing that really matters is that the calories get burned, not the time it takes to do it. Some day maybe you could try 2 seasons of 300 calories, it wouldn't feel any harder, but that's an extra 100 calories per day.

  • My pleasure Stan. Glad to help! ~Steve

  • Man, Steve, you really expressed that in an intelligent way. I've never heard it put quite that way before. 500 calories a day. that is a lot to lose and it IS a big accomplishment. I always try to encourage people at the gym who are overweight even though I am not anymore. They are my heroes because they don't give up. The person who has never struggled, what does he know? Thanks, steve. lots of luck, stan

  • hahhahaa yes, I hate those commercials, "lose 10 pounds with just 5 minutes a day" hahahhaha, it is really a joke. And they always put the images (in black and white) of people actually in a gym, sweating, like it's something bad. And afterwards they are at home, seemingly happy... Hahhaha! A joke!

  • Depends on how much you're eating but usually 20-30 mintues of cardio will not consume muscle.

  • do you still answer comments on youtube. i have a question i eat healthy but i ve lost like 12 pounds but its not body fat. i thnk it muscle that im eating up during my cardio session. i try to do bout 20-30 mins of cardio a day. so would i hvae to consume more calories?

  • Great information here.

  • OH MAN I LOVE YOU..... Thanks for the tip.

I have a quick question. I am 6 feet and weigh about 237-240 pounds but when i ask other pple how much they think i weight they say around 170. Can you tell me how come i weight so much for my size? ( i not not that muscular). plz answer me

  • This one is pretty simple, because you are soo tall the weight is evenly distributed across your whole body. For example if you were 5ft 7 you would be moderately overweight, assuming your weight stays the same. The taller you are, the thinner you look. Vice Versa.

  • 1 -2 lbs may be great for someone who is liek ... 150lbs or less. but the more you weight the more weight you lose. when i was nearly 300lbs i lost about 8 - 13 lbs per week with just basic exercise. Now that im 160 i can lose maybe half a pound a week doing basically the same thing. So yes, people really could lose 20 lbs a week if they actually tried and weighed enough to begin with.

  • Yeah but you're talking obese. My experience was similar--I used to be 260 and early on in my diet and exercise it wouldn't be uncommon for me to drop as much as 6 pounds, but as I got closer to my goal it slowed down and eventually was close to 1 pound a week.

  • what did you do?

  • He loves talking about the abdomatic LOL!!!

  • Man...I remember when I first went into army, (my country practices conscription) I lost 8kgs in 2 weeks. Then a further 7ks in 1 month, then i started putting on weight due to muscle mass. sigh...that was 4 yrs ago...now Im fatter than Ive ever been. sigh

  • I think the other thing that people forget is as time goes on you could gain weight but be thinner. Don't follow the scale!! Measure! Would you weigh a piece of wood to know the size of it. NO!!

  • A pound?.... I sed i shit a pound...hmm

  • I usually have a cheat day every week in which I eat anything and everything I want, cake for breakfast, cheese, etc. Does this mess up my metabolism?

  • fucks it up entirely

  • i now have two cheat meals per week and so far im losing even more than i thought i would so my metabolism doesn't seem to mind

  • You have it backwards. A slight increase or decrease in daily calories won't change your weight. When those calories accumulate is when a change occurs.

  • Thank you so much for all the work you've put into these videos. You are just the inspiration I need.

  • You're welcome.

  • great message. keep people from giving up

  • Yes! And it doesn't matter how you do it.

  • A loss or decrease.

  • If you continue to exercise and eat right this will create a calorie deficit. Weight will reoccur if you eat too much and create a calorie surplus.

  • By continuing to exercise and watching your calories intake.

  • You'll be down one pound.

  • Hard to answer that question without knowing what type of shape you're in, how active you are, how much you typically eat, etc. Please check out the forum on my website. See "Eating too little" and "Counting Calories." www.BodyPerformanceTV.com

  • Hey, would you be able to tell people about the low carb diets like the Atkins etc. I heard they are very bad for you.

  • what is the average amount of calories a person would have to take in daily to be in a middle ground? assuming they only excersiced once a week how many calories a day would amount to no gain weight/loss?

  • kisses* ur hot, good advice ty

  • Thank you!
