Are those flanger settings at 8:22 the same settings you use later in the video with your tool samples? Those samples sound EXACTLY like Adam. Fantastic Work!

Can a person still download Gearbox or get it anywhere? Line6 does not have a download for it on their website, now that the HD's are out and have their own software and plugins.

Or can this same thing be done with the HD stuff? Anyone know??

you just made my day! i have a pod x3, just not the live floorboard model & even with some of the downloaded tones that are supposed to sound like adam's, they are only slightly close. yours are spot on man!!! i close my eyes & it sounds like adam live!!! keep the Tool & APC cover's coming!!! thanks again!

Hi Jun! You got the right combination but I think you should switch to a mesa dual rectifier 4x12 cab for the Diezel; and the second amp is actually a cranked Marshall JMP Super Bass with the matching Marshall 4x12 cab. But I think the modelling will not emulate the cab combination of FL + RL properly, which is the biggest part of Adam's tone ;(

So do you record using software in your computer or do you use the POD X3 to record? I am thinking about buying a converter cord so I can play my guitar through my pc and use that software you showed, but I don't have a POD, only a regular tube amp.

The onboard FX in Pod Software is really not good, I never used them either. Got to have those Boss Pedals. I always used the exact same settings you have in my old setup, For a minute I almost thought it was me playing haha, the sound was that close. I never liked the way POD handles high end boost. It hurts the ears. especially with the boss flanger on. Makes me wish I never sold my gear =(. Nice video man, keep the covers coming.
